Bodypaint with Celeste Call
Celeste Call lives in Germany but she used to live in Charlotte and I met her through the camera store I used to (& kinda still do) work at. She’s a photographer and model, and last time she visited from Germany I was fortunate enough to create with her! She met me at my parents house and took photos of me in their back yard, then I took photos of her in the house in what used to be the art room (now it’s a pool/billiards room!). Celeste is full of energy and brightens up any room she’s in, I had a fantastic time creating with her!Keep an eye out, I’ll be sharing the photos she took of me later this month!CURRENTLY:As I’m typing this it’s Wednesday May 29th, and by the time you’re reading this I’ll have been on the road for a full 24 hours on my way to Denver Colorado, the first official stop on my 2 month cross country solo road trip! I’m trying to get as much computer stuff prepped as I can before I leave because I have no idea when or where I’ll have wifi or any kind of internet. My plan for today is LOTS of computer stuff, and tomorrow I’ll spend most of the day packing and making sure everything is ready for me to leave! AHHHHHH I can’t believe it’s already time for my trip! I’ve been dreaming of this for SO LONG and it’s finally HERE and I’m so EXCITED and NERVOUS and just… ahhh!!! Wow this is going to be an adventure.

Bodyscapes with Portraitmami
Do you remember the menstruation shoot I did with Portraitmami (they/them)? This set was taken that same day! After we took the menstruation photos we did a set focusing on the light, shadow, and shape of bodyscapes. For me, these images feel intimate, tender, and soft. I appreciate how Portraitmami brings out the true essence of people in their images. <3CURRENTLY:When this is posted on Saturday, I will be at a burn in the mountains of VA with my phone locked in my van. I’m SO looking forward to this weekend! It’ll be my second burn ever, my first one was this burn last year! It’ll be wonderful to spend time with friends and be outdoors naked practically the entire time. I really enjoy being completely present and in the moment at events like this, so I’m choosing this weekend to be an electronics-free weekend for me. I’ll be gone Friday – Monday, but of course I already have all of your posts scheduled! Social media can wait, but I strive for consistency here! This will be a great reset for me, and a very joyful beginning of my summer filled with travel and nature!

V
V is so damn talented, inspiring, kind, and sweet. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to create with her as often as I have. This photoshoot is from the same day I took the images of her and her baby (click here to see those). After we shot indoors with baby we went to her back yard to take another set of just her. Her property is so great for photoshoots!CURRENTLY:The last few days I’ve been home have been filled with planning & prepping for my 2 month (maybe longer) cross country road trip, time with friends and family, and feeling a LOT of very strong and sometimes difficult emotions. This week a MAJOR LIFE CHANGE happened for me: Antisocialdisposition moved to Maryland. We’ve been partners for 10 years, living together for 8, and married for 5, so as you can tell, this has been quite a transition. He got a job outside of Baltimore and originally I planned to move with him, but over the last couple of months it’s become clear to us that we need space and time away from each other. We ran out of room to grow as individuals within the container of a marriage, so we are in the process of divorce. Things are mutual and amicable between us. He is still one of my best friends and I can’t imagine my life without him in it in some capacity, I just haven’t figured out what that means for me yet.To be honest, it’s been really hard, but I’m doing really good. It’s not like I’ll never see him again, it’s not like we hate each other, it’s not like he won’t still be a part of my life. I have so much that I’m thankful for and I am SO READY to go out into the world, for the first time, completely autonomous. I have so much I want to learn and do and experience, and wonderful new things are already coming to me after letting go, I just had to make the space.

Hidden Waterfall with Mikael Photo
Last year I drove to Asheville to visit Mikael Photo and create some art nudes by a waterfall, and it was glorious. I got to his place in the evening, we drove the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiked a small part of a trail, had dinner, stayed the night, and we got up the next morning for pastries and drinks at a tiny adorable cafe he frequents. After that we went to a grocery store for snacks/lunch, and drove to the trailhead. The hike to this waterfall is pretty average/moderate until you get to the end, and then you scramble up some steep embankments. Thankfully, the difficulty of the later part of the trail discourages a lot of people from getting to this waterfall. We had 3 or 4 hours there to ourselves, so we took photos, had our picnic lunch, and lounged around naked on the big rocks. This is what dream photoshoots are made of. <3CURRENTLY:It’s Wednesday again, May 8th, and I’m currently at Kat‘s house having a chill day with no plans other than getting ahead on posts and catching up on emails. Nashville has been really fun so far and I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time outdoors which makes me very happy. I photographed Kat in the forest of Natchez Trace on Monday and yesterday I modeled in a forest near a lake at Percy Priest. I haven’t spent a whole lot of time in the city, but that suits me since I prefer nature anyway. =]By the time you’re reading this I’ll have already spent a couple days in Knoxville and Saturday I’ll be getting ready to head back home. Wow the next few weeks are going to fly by, I already know it. So much is going on! Antisocialdisposition is moving to Maryland on Tuesday morning, and after he’s gone I’m going through all of my belongings and purging as much as I can over the next week. I’ve been holding on to so many things that I really just don’t need anymore. Kitty and I are going to be getting stuff ready for a big yard sale but I only have about a week and a half before I leave for Ignite (it’s like a mini burning man in the mountains of Virginia) so I want to get as much done as possible before I leave! Also in that time frame I want to get any additional things I’ll need for my van and my cross country trip, because I’m leaving for that at the beginning of June!

Bette Machete & Tank
This was a really fun shoot, not only is Bette Machete always a joy to be around, we also got to play with Kara Perry‘s pupper Tank! Bette lives in a suburb on the opposite part of Charlotte from me, so we were looking for a place to shoot in Charlotte since it would be mostly halfway for both of us. Kara was so generous and offered her ADORABLE studio apartment for us to shoot in, I’m so thankful! It’s the perfect space for a relaxed indoor shoot (we shot this in December). Kara had to go to work, so she left Tank with us and I met up with her later to give her keys back. Bette and I took turns photographing each other and Tank joined us for some of the photos!CURRENTLY:I’m typing this up on Wednesday (May 1st) because it’s important to me to post reliably, and I’m currently on a 2 week trip through West Virginia and Tennessee! I like to have things scheduled in advance so I know you’ll always have consistent posts!I just got to WV yesterday and I’m staying with my friend Sasha Jacobsen who is a fantastic friend, host, and yogi! We went hiking today on a trail that led us to an old mine, took a bunch of awesome photos, and met a man who had found and caught a black snake and stumbled upon us just as we finished shooting. Thankfully he was nice and didn’t give us any trouble about Sasha being nude. He just seemed to enjoy having people to talk to.Today was Sasha’s first nude photoshoot (other than their self portraits!) and I feel honored that they trusted me with that privilege! After shooting we went to a crystal shop that’s one of the best and most reasonably priced shops I’ve been to! I splurged and got myself a star rose quartz sphere that I absolutely fell in love with. Once I touched it I just couldn’t put it down haha.We drove to an impressive waterfall that’s right off of the highway and hung out below it for a couple hours. There were butterflies EVERYWHERE, it was magickal.I’m here in WV for a few days, then I’m off to Nashville!——If you haven’t already you should totally join my private snapchat!! I update it several times a week with BTS from shoots, full photosets, random stuff from my daily life, and LOTS of nudity! All First Look and All Access members immediately have lifetime access to my private snapchat when they sign up (just add me and let me know it’s you!) or if you don’t want to be a First Look or All Access member, you can purchase lifetime access to my snap via my shop!

Metal Wall
Another set from the super creative day at Durham Fruit!! This was the first set that Antisocialdisposition took when we got there. Other people were around occasionally but most of them had already been warned that there would be nude people around that day and we had no issues at all! Free reign of this HUGE and unique space, just wait til I share more from this day! You’ll really see the variety of locations we were able to create in, it was wonderful. <3Currently in my life: Things have started getting hectic and I’m realizing how fast time is going by! Only a few days until I leave for my 2 week trip to WV, KY, and TN. Once I get back from that trip, I have about a week and a half at home, then I’m off to Ignite, which is like a small burning man in the VA mountains. After Ignite I have 3 or 4 days to unpack, repack, and head out on my TWO MONTH CROSS COUNTRY TRIP!Wow, I’ve been wanting to do this forever and now I’m DOING IT! I’ve never been to the west coast before. The furthest west I’ve been is Utah, which so far has been my favorite place I’ve ever been. I will of course be spending a week or so in Utah in June so get ready for TONS of desert photos! <3 I love the desert surprisingly enough even though I feel SO at home in mountain forests. What can I say, nature is my true home.I am incredibly excited to explore the National Parks in Utah, California, Oregon, and Washington!!!!!! June and July, I’m (almost) ready for you! =D

Purplechrome Forest with Drake Avenue
Click here to read the blog I posted about the day before this shoot for more background on the short van camping adventure I went on with Drake Avenue. We woke up early and drove to this nature preserve that was mostly empty since we were there in the morning on a weekday. It was mostly flat, with acres of pine trees, and a swamp area that we didn’t even get to. We hiked out for a bit, looking for an interesting backdrop for some photos, but didn’t even get that far down the trail because the place was SWARMING with GIANT mosquitoes. We were both being eaten alive, and it got worse the further we went. I usually don’t have many issues with mosquitoes because they don’t seem to like me that much, thank goodness, but they were all over both of us and Sean was having an especially hard time with them. We found this beautiful tree with gorgeous visible roots that was close to a small bridge and a stairway and decided it was the perfect place to shoot. We shot as quickly as we could and then immediately headed back to the van. The mosquitoes were relentless! You can watch us struggling with them in the BTS videos I’ve uploaded. My mosquito bites diminished pretty fast, but Sean is more easily irritated by them so he dealt with well over 50 bites for a few days until they healed. I’m so thankful he was willing to take these photos with me despite the onslaught of mosquito bites he was subjected to! A true dedicated artist.Click here to see other things we’ve created together!

Basement of Durham Fruit with Roarie Yum & AD
I’ve already shared a couple photosets from this epic shoot day at Durham Fruit with Roarie Yum, Antisocialdisposition, and Mikki Marvel. This is the next set I have to share with you, and I still have a couple more to share in the future! This was such a fun day full of laughter, running around naked, and taking tons of photos and videos. My favorite kind of day!Mikki had to leave early, so later in the afternoon Roarie, AD, and I shot in the basement after shooting upstairs with Mikki all morning. Down in the basement there were a couple of men doing construction on a few of the rooms so that’s why there’s construction sounds in the BTS videos. They were respectful and didn’t stare or interrupt us or anything, it was really nice. Roarie was working for Durham Fruit at the time of the shoot so she had already warned them that we would be around taking nude photos. Durham Fruit is a really interesting old building with lots of history and the basement shows the history especially well, with the crumbly looking walls throughout and old machinery in one of the rooms. It was really dark down there so we made due with the few lights that were scattered around. It’s always an enjoyable challenge to work with what’s available. =]

Film in the studio with Takama Photo
I met Takama Photo (previously known as Marc Andre) at a workshop set up by Mikki Marvel here in the Charlotte area a few years ago and we hit it off so about a year later we set up a shoot in the studio he shared with a couple other photographers. I posed for him and his associate Muzse Photo on the same day, it was a really fun and creative day in the studio! I have the set that Muzse took of me to share in the future =]

V & baby
I say it all the time, but I’m so lucky to have such amazing creative friends who live in the Charlotte area! I photographed V when she was pregnant with her baby, and now I’m sharing this photoset of them that we took when baby was about 5 months old. He turns a year old next month, AND his sister is due to be born next month! I just took photos of them again (some photos including V’s partner!) a couple weeks ago that I’ll be sharing in the future! V is such an incredible model and I’m so thankful to have been able to photograph her during two of her pregnancies. <3
