A Variety of Throwback Sets!
These photosets have been sitting in the First Look galleries for sooo long so I thought I would share a bunch of them all at once! The images of Jordan Bunniie, VikTory, and Nadine Theresa were all taken somewhere between 2012-2017? The photoshoot for Doug Pierce‘s The Maidens Song book cover was back in 2018. Dang I have a tendency to hoard photos sometimes… whoops! I’m happy to be sharing these with you today. =]
I’ve been thinking a lot about dreams and goals and magick and community lately. They’re all big themes in my life right now and I feel like I’m grasping toward something incredible, I just can’t QUITE reach it yet, and I don’t even know what IT is. All I know is that I am doing what feels best for me, what is exciting to me, what feels like it will help the most people, what brings me joy and connection. I so often feel like I need to have a label, a list, a plan, and the not knowing can be so uncomfortable sometimes. If I think of it another way, the not knowing creates space for something new, something unexpected, something NEEDED, to come along. If I have plans, expectations, and pre-conceived notions about what trajectory my life is “supposed” to go on, then I am potentially suffocating myself with things that I don’t actually want or need. I am not allowing organic and serendipitous happenings to inform my decisions. I am struggling to swim upstream toward something that’s not completely meant for me. Instead, I choose to allow myself to not know. To make plans while also being flexible with potential changes and new opportunities. To follow my intuition based on the way things make me FEEL. This is where the magick happens. I just have to allow myself the space to let it. I joyfully swim WITH the current of my life to find my highest purpose, my greatest achievement, my compassionate heart-centered self and community.

We had such a wonderful time with Kyotocat when she was here a couple months ago that she came and visited us again at the end of October! She stayed longer this time and we took her to the mountains so she could see some of our favorite places. We drove around the Blue Ridge Parkway (she had never been there before!) and marveled at all the leaves with their brightly changing colors: so many reds, oranges, and yellows! We took her to Asheville and ate at some delicious local spots. We stayed overnight at a Motel 6 that was super greedy and had a sign out front “Wifi here” but made us pay for it! That was super annoying. The next day we took her to the top of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi River. Finally, we hiked to one of our most favorite spots in Linville Gorge. It’s not an easy hike, you literally hike down a mountain, up a stone tower, and then have to hike down the tower and all the way back up the mountain to get back to the car. It’s 100% worth it every time. We shot each other with my Instax, I took 35mm film photos of her, and she took medium format film photos of me with her giant Mamiya that she lugged up and down the mountain! AD was our trusty lookout and did such a good job distracting other people and keeping them from coming over to our spot that we had 2 or 3 uninterrupted hours of shooting and hanging out naked on the top of the tower. =D
Here are some of my favorites from the Instax and my 35mm film!

Home with my Parents
The photosets I’m sharing were taken on the same day in early 2019. Portraitmami came over to photograph my parents during their weekly haircutting ritual, and later in the day I took some photos of my parents around the house. They don’t always do things nude, but it’s a common occurrence for someone in the house to be naked. I’m so thankful that my parents are open minded and that we have the wonderful relationship that we have.
*WARNING for anyone sensitive to alcohol, photos & videos of drinking below & in galleries*
CURRENTLY: I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how everything is interconnected. People, plants, animals, bugs, forests, rivers, ecosystems… all exist together. Each is improved when all are working in harmony. Each is impacted by the traumas of the other. What you do to yourself, you do to each other. What is done to another is done to yourself. This means that everything is meaningful. If everything I do matters, I want to act in ways that uplift, respect, and honor each other, that are better for everyone involved, that moves us toward a more compassionate and loving world.
I can do that. Right now. Today. I can choose to see the positive in everything, even if that’s simply “I learned something from this.” I can communicate my needs, boundaries, and feelings with others in order to live an authentic life. I can take time for myself when I am overwhelmed or need to recenter. I can be an example to others by being my authentic self, giving them permission to do the same. I can speak up to injustices and promote a more kind and loving community. The more I learn the more helpful I can be to myself and others.
Ok, it’s mercury retrograde and that’s all I could pull out of my brain for today. I love you all so much! Thank you for being here with me.
I’m planning the LIVE video chat and most of the replies for best time to do it have been weekends, so…
March 15 or March 22 ???
6 or 7 pm ???
Potential topics of conversation: ecosexuality, gender, art, non monogamy, energy healing, traveling…

Last weekend Antisocialdisposition and I went to New Orleans. We left at around 8pm on Thursday and drove through the night, trading driving and sleeping when one or the other of us got too tired. Arriving at around 7:30am, we immediately went and got some breakfast, then headed to City Park to hang out. Oh my gosh I loved City Park and really want to go back and explore it more! There are so many huge live oaks just begging to be climbed and hugged and appreciated. Of course the first thing I did was climb on one, sitting on one of the long, low branches. We had a few hours to kill until we could check into our Airbnb so we walked around for a while. It made me so happy to see the big patches of wildflowers they have near the entrance! City Park backs up to the New Orleans Museum of Art and they have a free sculpture garden so of course we checked that out too. I’ve uploaded some videos and photos of some of the artwork we really liked.
As soon as we were able to, we checked into our Airbnb and showered, it’s surprisingly hot in New Orleans in early November! I was super happy with the Airbnb we found, it was really private and comfy and nice, I would definitely recommend staying there and would love to stay there again. We went for lunch at Seed, which is a super yummy vegan place, and then walked to the French Quarter to meet up with some friends. We hung out with them for a bit and then I went off on my own to explore Bourbon Street. This was a Friday night and there were so many people everywhere! Most of them were drunk or on their way to being drunk. It’s so weird to me that in the city of New Orleans you can drink 24/7, wherever you want. Outside the city you would get in trouble for drinking on the side of the street but I guess they let people drink all over the place in the city because it’s one of the reasons so many tourists visit.
I people watched, went to a few stores (they have a Lush store! I had to get a couple of bath bombs), watched some street performers, and I even spent a bit of time in a VooDoo shop. They had some really great books about crystals and magic and tarot, a small selection of herbs, lots of talismans and dolls, and a lot of magic kits. I’m fascinated by so much of this so of course I spent a while in there just milling around looking at everything. I bought a book called Circle of Eight by Jane Meredith that’s about creating magic in your local area, I’m about 80 pages in and really enjoying it. I plan to start having circle with some family and close friends to incorporate some of the things I’m learning into my life and practice. I’m interested in so many metaphysical things I feel like I’m kinda all over the place and know a tiny bit about a bunch of different topics. I want to dive into one particular thing to have a more in depth understanding of whatever that one thing is but it’s so hard to choose what that thing will be! I guess I’ll let myself explore a little bit of everything and let my interests organically point me in the direction of whatever it is I’m meant to know more about.
On Saturday I spent the morning modeling for a super nice photographer, Mysa Photography, then spent the rest of the day walking around New Orleans, looking at all the pretty houses and then going back to our Airbnb to take five HUGE self portrait sets. I haven’t been able to go through all of them yet but the first one is up in the galleries and a few of my favorites are below!
We spent all day on Sunday driving back home. Blegh. That was a super long drive, especially since neither of us wanted to go back to work/school on Monday. I’m hoping we can go back to New Orleans again sometime soon, and spend more time there next time! And next time I want to go to a cemetery!
Have you been to New Orleans? What was your favorite part about it? Where should I go next time I visit?

Magnolia with Celeste Call
All of the images I created with Celeste Call were taken in the span of a few hours, and this is the last set I have left to share with you from that wonderfully fun and creative day. Click here to see the other photoset she took of me, and click here to see the photoset I took of her!
CURRENTLY: I’ve been feeling off lately. One day I’ll feel totally fine, and another I’ll feel sad, purposeless, anxious, and irritable. Right now I think I’m in a weird in-between space, where I’m still doing most of the work-type things that I’ve been doing for years, but it doesn’t feel quite the same, or hold the same weight that it once did. I feel like there’s something more, something different that I’m supposed to be doing but I don’t quite know what that something is.
I’ve been making videos a bit more recently, but so far I’ve just saved them to my hard drive and then not touched them. The thought of editing hours of videos is overwhelming to me right now, and I still have some self portrait sets from last summer to go through and upload, though that doesn’t feel as scary as it did a few months ago. I tend to put off the computer work/organizing/editing part of my job more than anything else, because it stresses me out and it feels so big and is my least favorite part of being a photographer and content creator. The problem with putting it off, is that it gets bigger and there’s more to do the longer I put it off. I go through spurts of inspired and determined action, where I’ll spend an entire day editing photos or videos, and then not touch anything again for weeks. I get a LOT done on those days, but I don’t want to make myself feel like anytime I edit etc I have to spend an entire day on it. I can allow myself to just do one thing at a time, one day at a time. Things still get done, whether I do 15 photosets in a day or just 1. Just doing 1 is probably kinder to myself, and my eyes after staring at a screen so long.
I really enjoy creating, I just want to be able to hire someone to help me with the admin side of things. That would be so incredibly nice, and also give me more time to create instead of stare at a computer screen. That day will come, I know it will.
For now, I’ll keep doing what I’m doing and let myself figure it all out along the way.

Hey friends! I decided to do this week’s post a couple days early. Antisocialdisposition and I are driving through the night tonight to get to New Orleans tomorrow morning. No traffic, yay! We’ll be there for the weekend and I want to make sure I have plenty of time to take tons of self portraits for you while we’re there, hence the early post. =]
This week I thought I would share the film I took of Nova Amour when she visited a couple months ago. We hosted her while she was in town and it was really nice getting to know her a little. She’s super sweet and creative and I’m looking forward to working with her again at some point.

I took a few self portraits while waiting until it was time for a doctor’s appointment in a part of town that I used to live in. It was nice being in my old stomping grounds and shooting somewhere that I used to use a lot for shoots. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I ever took self portraits there, I think I always photographed models whenever I was there. I didn’t have a ton of time but I think I got some great images.

Ravyn Alexa with Flowers
I met Ravyn Alexa in Portland Oregon last summer while I was on my cross country road trip. We had followed each other online for a while and I was really happy to be able to meet her in person while I was on her side of the country! I met her at her house (she lived with a few other artists at the time) and we took photos all around the outside of the house. There were so many great natural spots to shoot in without having to go far at all! We took several sets that day, so keep an eye out for more in the coming weeks!
CURRENTLY: I found out about the residency… I didn’t get it. 194 people applied for 9 spots. I’m sad I didn’t get it, but this just means that something else is for me instead. Plus, I’m more prepared to apply for other opportunities!
I made my first meme and posted it on instagram a few days ago! I’m pretty proud of it to be honest. It was fueled by my anger at the two white men who touched me without my consent the night before at my parents superbowl party. There is no reason to touch anyone, unless it’s a life/health threatening situation and you need to help someone when there is no time to ask for consent. Otherwise, ASK AND GET CONSENT BEFORE YOU TOUCH ANYONE, for any reason. As a nude model this is even more important, especially during photoshoots, because I am nude and vulnerable in front of another person, sometimes who I had never met before, and I need to keep myself safe. I am incredibly lucky that I have only had minor consent breaches during shoots, but yes I have definitely had people touch me without consent while I was naked. It is uncomfortable, uncalled for, and NOT NECESSARY. There is never a time when it is appropriate for a photographer to touch a model during a shoot. Anything you think you need to touch us for pose-wise you can use your WORDS to DESCRIBE it to us, or you can use your own body to show us what you mean. Never physically move a model to where you want them to be, unless the model specifically tells you to do so.
Haha I wasn’t expecting to go on a mini tirade about consent during photoshoots, but here we are. After 10 years of being on both sides of the camera, I have a lot to say about photoshoots and how people should interact during a professional interaction. Maybe I should make an ebook or something?
OH! Also today I realized that I forgot to share the cell phone BTS back in December from my time with Sasha Jacobsen, so I’ve uploaded it to the December video folder and you can see all of that awesomeness HERE. Remember the story about the guy with the snake at the end of our shoot? There’s a video of him and the snake in there! Among a lot of other cool stuff, like me naked at a waterfall with a swarm of butterflies! Check it out <3

My friend Nuance Artistry was kind enough to send me a ton of photos from our shoots to share with you! We have taken photos in an abandoned college, my favorite abandoned house (the one with the pool in the back yard!), and an abandoned house that had been burned down (well, mostly).
I’ll occasionally go with him to scout out new abandoned locations and the last time we went we got caught! EEK! We were checking out a location that had 3 abandoned houses and right as we were walking back out to the main road a cop was driving by. Boy did we have terrible timing! The cop of course turned around and stopped us. He asked us a bunch of questions like why we were there, what we were doing, how we knew about the place, etc. He really seemed like he thought we had drugs or something. I guess that’s what most people are doing when he catches them at abandoned locations. We were just there to check the place out! Luckily he let us go without too much hassle but oh gosh I was nervous.
Here are a few of my favorites from the abandoned college:

(I know, I know, we were right out front of the college. hehe)
Some from my favorite abandoned house (there’s a pool and hot tub in the back yard!):

There are cool built-in cabinets there, too.
And a few from the burned down abandoned house:

I had soot all over me by the end of this shoot! This was right before I got a piece of glass stuck in my foot. Ever since this shoot I’ve kept a first aid kit in my camera bag. You can’t be too prepared!

Bloom at the Pacific Coast in Northern California
Bloom and her partner were so generous and gave me a place to stay with them in Northern California for a few days while I was on my cross country road trip last summer. They live within walking distance of a second growth Redwood forest and it was my actual heaven to be able to walk down their driveway, around the corner, and into the forest with massive Redwoods, ferns, and the biggest clovers I’ve ever seen in my life (they were PALM SIZED!). I took a walk in the forest every day that I was there. Their house was so cozy and comfy, and I fell in love with the small town they live in when we went to the farmer’s market in the middle of the town. There were local organic farms selling their produce, vegan food vendors, live music, and barefoot people dancing or laying in the grass. We went to this special beach about a 30 minute drive from their house to walk around and it was there that I saw the Pacific ocean for the first time, and actual TIDE POOLS for the first time! Bloom and I went back the next day to take this roll of film around sunset. My experience of Northern California was simply magickal! It was so wonderful to finally meet Bloom in person (we had been friends online for years) and get to spend some time with her.
CURRENTLY: I applied for an artists’ residency here in Charlotte on the 19th and I will hopefully be hearing back from them sometime next week! I feel as if the residency was MADE for me and I really REALLY hope I get it! Click here if you’d like to see the page I put together for part of my application. With the residency I would be provided with my own studio space for 6 weeks (along with a stipend!) and I would use that space to have at least one nude gathering (but hopefully several). I feel like I’m in limbo because I don’t want to make any plans until I know if I got the residency or not. Just a few more days til I find out! EEEEK!

I’ve already made a blog post about our waterfall weekend when I shared the Instax so instead of a blog I’ll share some fun facts about me! It’s been a long time since I did fun facts on here so it’s about time for more. =]
- I have a growing skull collection. I currently have a pit bull, a cow, 3 deer, a badger, a rabbit, 2 mice, & a raccoon. We just found the raccoon in the woods this week!
- I’ve never paid for a skull, they’ve either been gifted to me or I’ve found them. I found the pit bull during a shoot several years ago at an abandoned mill.
- I started collecting crystals & rocks when I was really young. I have become more and more preoccupied with them.
- My breakfast every morning is a fruit & veggie smoothie. I make a few days at a time so I don’t have to make them every day. 90% of the time they’re 100% fresh fruits & veggies, but sometimes when I don’t have enough I’ll use some frozen fruit.
- I drink a nettle infusion daily. It has lots of vitamins & minerals (& tons of iron!), and is good for your urinary, digestive, and immune systems. Plus it helps me drink more water.
- I freaking love lime tostitos and cheese puffs. And just about everything sugary.
- I never thought I would but I’ve grown to like beets. When I was a kid I would eat SO MUCH of that canned cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving and one time there was some round red-colored stuff in a bowl and I just knew it was cranberry sauce so I ate some but NO it was BEETS and I was SO disappointed. I didn’t even try them for years after that. Beets are actually really good in smoothies!
- I’m making plans and moving towards living in a campervan full time. I am totally obsessed. The plan is to buy a big work van sometime late next year and spend the year after that building it out to become our new mobile apartment. Hoping to move in when AD finishes his engineering degree.
- I have 2 associate’s degrees: Associate in Arts & Associate in Fine Arts. I think I’d like to go back to school to get a bachelor’s but I’m still not sure yet. This summer I was planning on going back but changed my mind.
- I’m better at meditating when I have crystals and I’m sitting in the bathtub.
Ok enough about me, now for waterfall photos! Antisocialdisposition took photos of me & I took photos of him. This is becoming a trend and I rather enjoy it.
