Let’s talk about NUDITY!

Hi friends! It’s good to see you again, it’s been a little while. I wanted to come on here to invite you to this weekend’s event for Going Beyond the Lens. If you’re new and you have no idea what I’m talking about, Going Beyond the Lens is an art community that I cocreated with Lior Allay + Roarie Yum. All 3 of us have been in the photography/modeling/art industry for… I believe all of us have been in for over 10 years, so we have a lot of information about that world.
This community isn’t just for photographers and models, it’s for any creative medium, period. If you make art at all you’re totally welcome to come. Even if you don’t make art and you’re just a fan of art you’re also welcome to come. This community, we host virtual events twice a month. We have an art share on the 3rd Saturday of every month, which was last weekend so that already happened. We have a community conversation that’s on the 4th Sunday of every month, so that’s coming up as of when this posts, it’s coming up tomorrow!
If you’d like to join us, this month we’re focusing on the topic of NUDITY, so all of the ways in which nudity shows up in art, or doesn’t, there’s a whole spectrum of nude to non nude in art. We wanted to go over nudity and how it’s incorporated in your art, my art, everyone else’s art, so we’re going to have a conversation about that on Sunday, tomorrow, at 1pm eastern. We have a guest speaker that will be speaking about their art and nudity. I’m giving the guest speaker my spot, because usually me Lior + Roarie, we usually talk about the topic a little bit and our art process around that topic, and then we open the floor for everyone to discuss.
We have 3 speakers and then the rest of the event is just a conversation with the community so everyone is welcome to join in. To make space for the guest speaker, I’ve given up my spot to be a speaker and I will just be there participating, so I’m very excited. I’m going to read off the questions we’re going to focus on right now so you can get an idea of some of the things we’ll be talking about tomorrow.
The questions are:
Define your personal experience with nudity whether in your art or life or both.
How do you distinguish between when nudity is presented in a sexual or nonsexual context?
What is your intention behind the use of nudity in your work? What does it represent?
Was there a time you observed controversial usage of nudity (can you describe how it was used and why it felt controversial?)
I’m so excited to dive into this with yall, very excited, so I would super love for you to join us! It’s a choose your own donation price entry, so it could be a dollar, whatever you want to donate. The conversation tomorrow is donation based, the art shares (the next one is next month) those are free for everybody. The conversation we go more in depth and we are also trying to build the community so having some funds makes it much easier to build, and to pay the guest speaker and all of that. Hello friends! Welcome to another vlog post. I have a whole list of things right here that I want to talk about and I’m going to try to not ramble too much so it’s not too long of a video and/or post. Welcome to the 2nd and last mass upload for my archives! I have 11 photosets and 18 video folders that are now accessible to all members! So yeah this is officially the… now I have no set schedule for these blog posts, for new content coming out in terms of photos and videos for members. (EDIT AFTER RECORDING: This also includes the “weekly free posts” that I was sharing from my old blog archive.) Sooo… I wanted to be abundantly clear about the changes that have been happening and are continuing to happen, what’s going on.
Okay so, literally thousands of things for you to look at whenever you want. Archives are massive. The new things are… I’ll be doing a virtual nude gathering every month, starting, well I already started it because I had one last weekend which was awesome! Thank you to those of you who came. Virtual nude gatherings, I’ve decided in order for more people to be able to have access to these really awesome experiences of being naked in community together in a non sexual setting that’s just fun and we connect to each other and we also connect to our own bodies in embodied physical reality kind of way, even though we’re on the internet and screens with each other, I think it’s really special and I want to make sure that more people are able to experience that. I’ll be opening them up, starting next month in April, to the public, but members will always get free tickets! Public tickets, there’s a range of prices, I’m doing sliding scale and offering some free tickets to non-members also, but members of course always get free tickets. Then also next weekend for Going Beyond the Lens, which is Sunday the 28th we have the community conversation. Oh I should tell you the theme! This month the theme is NUDITY so the art share and the community conversation are both going to be centered around NUDITY! Yay naked! So I’m excited. The conversation, we have several questions that are listed in the conversation eventbrite link which I’ll also link below, the questions are in there, we have everyone, when they sign up, if they want to answer the questions… it’s about art and nudity and how you think about nudity. So if you want to answer the questions, that’s great so then we have more material to talk about during the conversation. We mainly go over these questions but they’re kindof like conversation starters, we definitely continue the conversation in a lot more depth in the actual conversation space than what you type in your answer when you sign up. It’s really special and we really dive into the topic. I always learn something, I just love hearing everyones different perspective and the way they think about the world and the things they’ve learned and I’ve learned so much, it’s really wonderful! If you want to be in creative community with an accepting and loving group of people, join us! So today, Saturday the 20th at 1pm is the art share. Okay so those are all the really main things. I also want to talk about future plans. So going into the future from right now, okay so right now, the things that you as members will receive from me on a monthly basis are: nude gatherings! We get to hang out “in person” and spend time together naked! Uhm that’s really special, so we get to do that, yall get in for free!
I’m going to start uhm I don’t know if I’ll do it in April but at some point soon, I’ll do it surely before like… lemme give myself a deadline to do it because if I don’t I don’t want to string yall along, so by June I’ll start putting out workbooks or videos or how-to things or resources around 4 topics that I’ll center my life online around, in terms of the things that I provide for other people. I in the past have been doing model/photographer things for a really long time, like 10 years, longer than 10 years, and I’m shifting gears from that world to self love, creativity (which is through Going Beyond the Lens), ecosexuality and queerness in general. Self love is big and encompasses all of those, and they kindof all work together, but those are the 4 main things that I’m going to focus on. I’m going to be creating resources and information and videos and there’s a ton of things I have ideas about, so resources in general. I’m going to be creating and offering a lot of them for free, so of course yall can have them too because they’re going to be free for everybody. Everything that I make yall will have access to first, and also can give feedback if you wanna tell me what your thoughts are, that would be super cool! And… so yeah resources of the queer, self love, ecosexuality, creative type, which you can also find resources for GBTL. I feel like I’m being all over the place, I’m sorry, that’s just how I feel today I guess, I hope it’s not too confusing.
So in addition to all of that, yall already have archive access to my 10+ years of photography and modeling so enjoy that, tons of nude… all the fun things, shenanigans, hangouts, all the things, behind the scenes, interviews, nature videos, me doing aerial, there’s a shit ton of stuff in there, but it’s mostly photography of… my work of other people. It’s also photography of people taking photos of me, from when I used to model and I don’t really anymore. It’s kindof fun to not model right now. So in addition to your archive access, another thing yall get is the satisfaction of knowing that literally as a member you are the reason that I can provide resources for self love and creativity and ecosexuality and queerness for free to the public because yall are the reason I can do any of this, literally. You’re the reason I do it, and you make it happen with your support, and it means so much and I am so excited to go into this new and kindof scary but very exciting direction for myself. Rebranding of my website is coming soon, I don’t have a time on that yet, but we’re like… Lior is actually working with me for branding and I am so excited. So yeah my website will be changing a lot soon, it’s going to be even more awesome than it already is. Don’t worry, you’re still going to have access to the archives and all of the member things.
Yeah I just wanted to let you know that I’ll have no set schedule or regularity that I will be posting vlogs like this and new photosets and whatever (EDIT AFTER RECORDING: This also includes the “weekly free posts” that I was sharing from my old blog archive.), but when things are happening, you’ll know first. I’ll come here and be like “hey guess what?! I’m excited about this thing or that thing or like look at all these resources I’m making or look at this new video” yeah all the things.
Also be spammed a lot about GBTL because creativity *raises hands*. Since I have the immense pleasure of creating that community of 2 other amazing artists, that’s the creativity aspect of my 4 main things that I’m going to be focusing on. Creativity is for GBTL and the 3 others are my personal, “yeah let’s get queer ecosexual self love!” Well, self love really goes for GBTL too, but *smile*
Okay I feel like I’ve talked a mile a minute and it’s been a really long video and I’ve told you so many things, I hope it hasn’t been overwhelming. I’m glad that you can watch this over again or rewind it or pause it or just read the thing because all of these words are gonna also be typed up below. I made my job harder by making it a long video. Okay but I had a lot to say so I wrote it down. Okay *laughs* *sighs*

Roarie Yum is an incredible model and I have been lucky enough to photograph them a few times. The last time they was in town Antisocialdisposition and I hired them for a couple of hours specifically to shoot double exposures over rolls of film I already shot of inspiring landscapes. We did a very similar shoot with Kyotocat last year, you can find it in the October 2016 archive.
I had a roll of film that part of it was shot when we were in Utah summer 2016 and the other part of the roll I shot in the NC mountains. The other roll I used was one I took in Shenandoah National Park this past July. I double exposed these rolls with Roarie and got magic! Some of them lined up in ways that I couldn’t have imagined, and that’s the magic of double exposures. I love the unexpected imperfect perfection that sometimes happens, if that makes any sense at all. Haha.
Our friend Scott let us use his studio and set up the lighting for us. He took the BTS photo below. AD and I took turns photographing Roarie and got a surprising number of rolls of film shot in just a couple of hours.
I really really love double exposures. I haven’t taken as many lately as I used to so it was really nice to finally get back to doing some.

Hi friends! This is the second to last week of these weekly posts! Holy cow! It’s already like… wow February is flying. This week I’ll be sharing a photoset that’s kinda like a mixed photoset of several mediums. I think it’s digital, 35mm, medium format, and polaroid, I think? from Mandy Darling photographing me when I was in Olympia during my cross country road trip in 2019. Yeah I told you I have a whole lot from that trip I’m still posting, and this is not all of it, you’re gonna see a lot more when I do that mass upload in March. But for now, here’s a bunch of photos that Mandy Darling took of me, this was outside of her parent’s house in Olympia I believe? It was her parent’s house, it was a really beautiful place full of gardens and surrounded by woods and it was beautiful. I had a really great time so I hope you enjoy these photos. I don’t have BTS video, but the video from this week I’m sharing is actually a pretty fun video that I made in the spring of 2020. It’s multiple videos, I think it’s like 8 videos. In the spring of 2020 I took a walk in the woods that are behind my house to go to the ponds that are in my neighborhood, there’s a couple of little secret ponds hidden in the woods so it was me taking a walk in the woods and bringing you with me. Some of my favorite parts of this video are when I see little tiny frogs in the grass, there were so many tiny frogs this spring, it was so cute, I’m really excited to see them again. I think there’s a couple of moments when I’m searching for frogs and you can see how cute and tiny they are. So yeah just hanging out in the woods and taking you with me so I hope you enjoy that.
First look people, I will be sharing the double exposures that I took of Lior Allay during the Backstage Pass event for Going Beyond the Lens that was in December of 2020. It was so great, they were so amazing. I did doubles of them during this event and people that were at the event helped… what’s the word? helped direct Lior for some of the poses. So the last I think 6 poses of theirs that you see were directed by people that were at the event, so that was super fun and exciting, I really loved it. It was really enjoyable to create together as a group. I had never experienced anything like that and it was amazing. These doubles were taken with the photos of Bryce Canyon that I took during my cross country road trip. I hope you enjoy all of those.
If you are new here I’ll give you a recap of what is happening very soon. February I’ll do weekly posts like this through the end of February, so after this week there’s one more week of these weekly posts, and then starting in March I’ll be doing monthly members-only hangout gathering virtual live “in person” events, and you’ll also be able to get free admission to some of the paid events that I’ll be participating in or leading that are outside of just members only, they’re also for the public but they have to pay, but members will get to be in there for free. That and I will be in March also mass uploading everything from first look and my backlog which first look hasn’t even seen yet because I have so much content. I’m a little nervous about it because it’s a big change, I’ve been doing for the most part ish, weekly posts like this, since 2016 or 2017, so this is a big major change. I’m really excited about it because it’s going to allow me to have more time to create more free resources for everyone and to have more community experiences, which I’m much more interested in, where I’m in a community where we co-facilitate/cocreate an event together versus right now where I’m just like talking AT you and giving you access to stuff. That’s not as connecting for me, and I’m exited to get to know yall a little better and just…. nurture community. I think we all need community, especially during covid. If you have any questions please let me know, you can comment on this post, you can send me an email, you can contact me in another way if you want. Yeah I’m excited even though I’m scared. A lot will be changing, but I’m looking forward to seeing where this is going to go, because instead of talking AT you, I’ll be talking WITH you and that is more exciting to me. I’m starting off with one members-only event per month starting in March because I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many things because I’ll most likely be doing 2 events per month for Going Beyond the Lens.
Speaking of, I think by the time this comes out the event is already happening, I think? Oh I can’t look at my calendar because it’s on my phone and I’m recording on my phone! Oh I have a paper calendar too. Yeah so when this comes out it’s going to be on the 20th and the art share is on the 20th, so when this comes out you have a few hours left to sign up for the art share which is FREE! Waterfall Introspection

Hi friends, welcome to another week of… my website. So this week I have a self portrait set that I took in 2018 on that first solo road trip that I went on, I talked about it… 2 weeks ago in the other waterfall self portrait set that I shared. I visited a whole bunch of waterfalls on this trip, it was like a long weekend, so this is a different waterfall and somehow after I took the photos and uploaded them to my smugmug, I forgot about this whole trip of self portraits that I took, somehow? So that’s why I’m sharing them now because I like somehow lost them / forgot about them after I took them and just never shared them. These photos I took I don’t even remember the name of the place that I was hiking. I probably could find it if I saw a map and looked back through some stuff. I hiked, this was in the mountains because that’s like my favorite place to be, I was hiking in the mountains near some waterfalls and I came upon this area that was a whole bunch of bare rock next to the river that had a little waterfall on it further up the river. I just hung out there for a long time and nobody really showed up for a long time so I was like “okay I feel safe being naked here” so I took some self portraits and then I got dressed and I think I was pulling oracle cards and journaling, and then a small family, like 2 or 3 person little group of adult and little children came by, and so I was like “okay so that’s perfect that I wasn’t naked when they showed up” because usually its people with kids that get annoyed or angry when people don’t have clothes on. So yeah that’s the photoset I’m sharing this week.
I have a video that has nothing to do with this photoset that I’m also sharing. This video I took.. I believe it was 2019, I’m not sure if it was before or after my cross country trip (EDIT: it was after). This was me when I lived at my sister’s house, hanging out in the living room in my sister’s house and listening to music and like, dancing and moving around and playing with the kittens… I call them shittens. Playing with shittens back when the cats that my sister has were actually kittens. They were so friggin cute. So this video is me just playing and dancing around and moving my body and playing with little kittens, so me and shittens, and dancing kindof, yoga ish, movement video.
First look people, I’m sharing more photos from Columbus Ohio. These are photos that Jacs Fishburne took of me and Lior Allay when we were traveling there, so these are I believe… all of the photos I am sharing with me and Lior and Jacs, which there are 3 photosets. I shared one of them last week, that was Lior’s photos of me and Jacs, this week it’s Jacs photos of me and Lior, and then next week I’ll be sharing… no I already shared those. The ones of Lior and Jacs that I took were the week before that. Next week I’ll be sharing something different. But yeah, so these are all from the same day and it was very fun. So first look is getting the photos and BTS videos of Jacs photographing me and Lior.
Speaking of Lior… if you didn’t already see it, I am going to be in Durham at the end of the month and I just got tested, I am negative, I got my result yesterday, covid negative, yay! I’m meeting up in person with Lior and Roarie and we are going to be brainstorming and dreaming up the future possibilities for Going Beyond the Lens and we are offering an event while we’re all together. We’re calling it Backstage Pass because you get a backstage pass to our shoot, we’re going to create together, the 3 of us, and the first half of the backstage pass event is gonna be the 3 of us answering all of your questions about shooting and how to communicate with the people you’re creating with, how to make sure everybody feels safe, how to make sure there’s consent, how to bounce ideas off of each other, all of these things, so I’m really excited because I have created with both of them, Lior and Roarie, but they have actually never met each other in person so this is going to be the first time that they’re creating together period, and this is the first time that we’re going to be all 3 creating together. I’m very excited because they’re both amazing people and they know each other now through all of the things we’ve been doing together, I just think that like, when you only know someone through the internet it’s different than when you actually get to meet them in person, so I’m very excited that we’re all going to be in person together and yeah I think I’m just super excited in general to be in person with them because it’s been a long time. We’re all getting tested, all self quarantining, being extra careful so that we make sure we’re not going to accidentally spread covid. Like I said I just got my covid test result back yesterday and I am covid negative, and I’m going to continue to like not leave my house until I go there basically. So yeah I’m excited.

This is a fundraising event for Going Beyond the Lens because we would really like to maybe create a website or some kind of community forum or something. We need to change the way we’re doing things online a little bit, because right now we have stuff in a google drive and it’s almost full already. We need to make some plans in terms of infrastructure, and so we are fundraising through this event. Tickets are $11 and we also have an option if you’d like to donate an additional amount of money that is available also, which is also super really appreciated. We have a lot of really exciting dreams and plans for what we would really love to do with Going Beyond the Lens so we’re hoping that this event will help get us a little bit of the money that we need in order to make some of these exciting plans and updates and changes so that we can better serve the GBTL community. So if you’d like to watch us create together live, please join us, I’ll put the link below (CLICK HERE!!!!) It’s only $11, this is a once in a lifetime thing, I don’t know if we’ll be able to do this again for a while. I don’t want to say once in a lifetime because I assume we’ll be able to do something like this again at some point, but I have no idea when something like this will happen again. Also if you can’t make it, the event is on December 30th, it’s a Wednesday I believe, and it’s from 10am-1pm eastern time. If you cannot make it, every single person who signs up will be getting a recording of the whole event so if you can’t make it there’s no worries because you can watch it whenever. Yeah I’m just really excited, its going to be really fun, and it’ll basically be the first time I’ve created in months.

Join GBTL founders behind the scenes during a photoshoot, LIVE
- How to communicate with other artists before/during/after creating together?
- How to ensure the comfort of the models you work with?
- How to set the environment/mood for a photoshoot?
- What the creation process looks like for Bunny, Lior and Roarie?
Then you’re in luck! For the first time ever, Bunny, Lior, and Roarie will be gathering together IN PERSON to dream up the future of GBTL and to CREATE TOGETHER! We are inviting you into our creative practice through this workshop in which we will discuss the bullet points above and then demonstrate during an actual photoshoot, LIVE!
The itinerary: About 1.5 hours of discussion and answering questions followed by 1.5 hours of creating together.
If you have questions for us, please submit them while signing up. This ensures we will be able to answer them in the beginning portion of the event.
The event will be held on FreeConferenceCall. Please sign up online or download the app before the event starts.
If you can’t join live for any reason, everyone who registers will receive the recording of the event.

Red Studio Couch

Hello friends! Ooh the ground is kinda wet. I wanted to lay down in these beautiful red maple leaves, but the ground is wet and cold so maybe I won’t. But here I will squat so you can see. Yeah it’s just a whole… let me walk over here. Just a big circle where all the leaves have fallen, it’s so pretty. Oh my gosh my toes are frozen though I’m going inside it’s too cold. I wanted to share what I am sharing this week and I will do that as soon as my feet are not numb anymore. It’s cold! I thought it wasn’t going to be too cold but it’s totally too cold. *aagh cold noises*
This week I have a self portrait set that I took… maybe 2016, 2017, 2018, not really sure what year. A self portrait set that I took a couple years ago, not in 2019 it was before that so probably 2017, 2018? that I took in my friend’s studio on this cool red couch that they had in there. I’m sharing BTS video from that same studio but a different time. The BTS that I’m sharing are BTS that I took when I was assisting my photographer friend Terry Wyse with his photoshoot with Roarie Yum! So it’s BTS of Terry shooting Roarie, and I think that was 2019.
First Look people are getting… what am I sharing with First Look? Oh the photos that I took with Lior Allay when we were in Pittsburgh in the fall of 2019 and BTS from that and other video things. Yeah so that’s what I’m sharing this week.
What do I have to talk about other than that? Other than my feet finally warming up? Tomorrow, which is Friday, so by the time you see this it will already have happened, but tomorrow I’m getting more of my tattoo done. The one on my leg with the Poplar tree, I’m very excited. So I’ll probably be tired and not as much up for physical things for a while after that because tattoos wear me out, especially because I tend to do several hours at a time. Yeah I’m really excited because I’m ready to be covered with plants.
Uhm yeah I don’t have much else to say at the moment, nothing much new is going on. I’m obviously back home for a couple weeks and then I’m going back to Granny’s for a couple weeks. Er, for a week IN a couple weeks, to continue helping her out. Yeah that’s kindof all that’s new with me right now. Love you, thank you for being here. <3

More self portraits from Chicago

Hello friends! Good morning! This week I’m sharing 2 self portrait sets from Chicago from several years ago, probably 2017… I think? 2016? 2017? I think 2017. Yeah I keep finding these that I forgot that I had so…. enjoy! They’re from 2 different airbnbs, like some of the ones I already shared. One of them is from the first airbnb that I stayed in that had cool furniture. There was this orange chair that I was like “I want to take pictures with this” and the other set is me with plants that were in the other airbnb that I stayed in. So this is from the same trip, from 2 different airbnbs.
The video I’m sharing this week was a random naked outdoor video that I took at the beginning of quarantine, the beginning of all the covid stuff. It was maybe March or April or May… maybe June. I didn’t look at the date that I took it. I randomly was like “I feel like hanging out naked outside” and why not make a video? So that’s what this is, there’s no caption, not really much sound, it’s just me doing my naked thing around the yard, so that one you can enjoy too.
The first look members, I have another self portrait set from my cross country road trip in the summer of 2019. This photoset is one of the first photosets that I took in Nevada, so we’re actually out of Utah for this one, we’re in Nevada. It was so beautiful, the colors there were so intense and just amazing, so self portrait set and behind the scenes from me in Nevada. I hope you like it. I don’t think it was that set, but it was another set from that same day. I was in Nevada, I was in a park and someone came up while I was shooting and I frantically got dressed. You’ll see it in the video, it’s not in this one, it’s in one that I’ll be sharing soon I think, maybe I shouldn’t tell this story, maybe I’ll save it for when I actually share it.
Anyway, this weekend, today is not this weekend yet when I’m recording this, but when you see this on Saturday morning, you still have a couple hours to sign up for the Erotic Art event that I’m putting on with Lior and Roarie and SPECIAL GUEST Marcus! So excited! So we’re talking about erotic art. I’m very excited, I’m also pretty nervous because it’s going to be a very vulnerable and uncomfortable conversation for me to have, but I’m still looking forward to it because I think there’s going to be a lot of really valuable information that everyone’s going to share and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s perspective and sharing mine (which is vulnerable and scary). I mean by the time you watch this, the one on Friday that I’m doing with Roarie will already have also happened… but um yeah I’m excited! Please join!
