How Self Portraiture Connects Me to Myself

Hi friends! Welcome to another week of me making a vlog. Today I want to talk about how self-portraiture connects me to myself.
I first started taking self-portraits in…. I actually don’t know what year because it’s been a very long time. I started seriously taking self-portraits, like for specific art purposes in maybe 2010? but I was definitely taking self-portraits way before that, maybe since I was like 14 or 15, but I didn’t start taking nude ones until I was 18 and older for obvious reasons.
I learned quickly that self-portraiture helps me feel more into my body and feel more connected to my emotions and myself, and part of that is because I feel like I’m more able to release all of everything else like societal bullshit and just be myself when I’m in front of a camera and it’s just me that’s taking the photos.
It’s very different when I’m posing for someone else taking photos, because I feel more like, “oh, I need to take pictures that they will be happy with” but when it’s self portraits, I can do whatever I want because it’s me taking the photos. So it’s whatever I’m feeling and if I like them, I can share them. But if I don’t have to, and there’s no pressure of like, “oh I have this expectation from someone else”.
So because I don’t have the limitations of someone else’s ideas of what they would like in these photos, I’m able to really connect with “Okay, how am I feeling today, in this moment? And how would I like to portray that in these images?” And sometimes I just take photos, and I never share them. And it’s just so that I can get emotions out, because sometimes I feel like it’s hard for me to just, like, sit in my emotions if I don’t have something that I’m doing to allow me to move through them, if that makes sense.
I think it’s kind of hard to just be like, “Oh, I’m having feelings and this is it. Like I’m just experiencing them in my body” because I kind of tend to want to like do something else instead and push away the emotions but when I have the container of a photoshoot with myself, then I’m able to really like focus and be like, “okay, the whole purpose of this moment is for me to connect with myself and my emotions and my body, and how I’m feeling and move through those emotions in a way that allows me to express them in my body and that shows in the images”. And for me, usually the most powerful images that I’ve taken have been self-portraits where I’ve allowed myself to FEEL.
So yeah, that’s the cliff notes of how self-portraiture connects me to myself. I’m also able to kind of experiment with who I am and who I want to be, and if I want to pretend to be someone else, and express different parts of myself, because I feel like there aren’t a lot of chances for us to explore different facets of our personalities and our thoughts and desires. There’s not a lot of context for that most times, but if I’m taking self-portraits, it can be whatever I want it to be and I can be an evil villain or I can be an innocent child, or I can be totally myself or someone else. I can be anything and it doesn’t really matter because they’re photos that I’m taking for myself. So I feel way less pressure to create something specific and I can just, I can be all of those selves in one photo shoot if I want and I think that’s very special.

Hello friends, I’m here today to talk about Conscious Creativity.
This is an event that I have put on since 2019 with Lior Allay, and this year in 2022, Roarie Yum will be joining us. So obviously in 2020 and 2021, they were online, but we’re able to go back in person this year and we’re so excited. The first in-person event was in 2019, and then, you know, the pandemic happened, so then we had to move online, but it’s in Michigan outside of Detroit. I think the closest town is Ypsilanti, Michigan. It’s near Ypsilanti Ann Arbor area is where the actual physical location that we’ll be at is.

So, Conscious Creativity. It’s morphed and changed a little bit over the years, but the main focus of it is usually self portraiture and that’s what we’re going to focus on primarily for this year. It is going to be September 27 and 28 (edit: ITS ACTUALLY AUGUST! Silly me, keeping dates in my head is hard! Haha from now on all captioned dates will be the CORRECT DATES to avoid any confusion). It’s going to be two, both of those days, you can come one or both days. It will be at a permaculture farm called Crossing Hedgerows Sanctuary. That’s where we had the first one in 2019 in person and it was amazing. It’s a beautiful space. They have a lot of land and we’re able to be as naked as we want, which is super wonderful. So, the event is going to be two days and it’s a half day each day. We will be providing food and we will be providing a lot of education and resources and information and a wonderful experience for y’all.
We don’t provide lodging and food before and after and that kind of thing, but while you’re there, we have food, we will be doing self portraiture, we’ll be doing set building, we’ll be doing group self-portraiture if you’re interested in doing that. Everything will be more like Choose Your Own Adventure. So you can participate in whichever parts seem interesting and exciting to you and nothing is mandatory. Just as long as you’re doing what feels best for you, that’s what we want to happen.

So it’ll be, one of the days is in the morning and one of the days is in the evening. The evening day we’ll probably do a little bonfire at the end, if the weather cooperates. This event will be rain or shine! So, if it does rain, we do have some canopies that we’ll be able to be under so we’re not gonna be getting rained on the whole time. But if you want to be rained on, that’s okay too. If it rains. I just assumed maybe our photography equipment, like cameras and stuff will not want to be rained on but we’re hoping that it’ll be sunny. This far out we have no idea what the weather’s going to be. But I’m hoping it will be not raining so that we can run around the whole place and have no limits of where we can be.
There will be I believe a composting toilet. So we’re not going to be inside of a building. We’re going to be outside the whole time and there will be bathroom facilities, but they will not be super fancy. That’s part of the magic of being outside is having that experience of being closer to Nature.

I’m super excited for this opportunity to spend time with y’all and create with yall and make self-portraits together and separately. Whatever y’all are feeling. Let’s see, what else can I say about this. We’ll have a lot of resources and take home materials to give to yall. Most of them will be digital so you can just get an email with all of the things but we have a lot of PDFs and things that we would love to share with you like tips and tricks and meditations and things like that, so I’m extra excited.
I hope that you join us for both days because we have created this experience to kind of like flow between both days. So the first day is we’re getting to know each other. We have a Welcome Circle. We all introduce ourselves, get to know each other, we’ll give tips and tricks on self portraiture and then we’ll kind of let everyone go and do their own self-portraiture adventure things and we’ll be available, the three of us, me, Lior, and Roarie, will be available for questions and feedback and that kind of thing because it’s a group workshop adventure we are not going to be available for one-on-one in-depth instruction since it’s a group experience. It will be more of like, we’re all going to come together as a group and ask questions and do things together and then we’ll kind of split off and do our own thing, but if you need some help you can wave us over, that kind of thing.

Then the second day we’ll be doing set building and more self portraiture in the set if you want to be in this created space. You also have all of the nature available as well. And then at the very end of the second day, we’ll do a group self-portrait. If you’re interested in participating in that. That is always my favorite part! The group self-portraits! Just because it’s a really, like, connecting experience and it’s really wonderful to collaborate with multiple people at one time and it’s always just super fun and I love it.

I’ll put it in the link below. We do have early bird pricing and I believe that’s going to be through the end of July. And then after, so August 1st and on will be the general admission prices. So if you would like a cheaper ticket, make sure to get it early for the early bird so that way you don’t have to pay as much. And that way we also have a better count of who’s going to be there so we know how much food to have. It’ll be a taco / salad bar. So there will be options for meat eaters, vegans and gluten-free options, so it should be able to cover most people’s dietary needs.

Let’s talk about NUDITY!

Hi friends! It’s good to see you again, it’s been a little while. I wanted to come on here to invite you to this weekend’s event for Going Beyond the Lens. If you’re new and you have no idea what I’m talking about, Going Beyond the Lens is an art community that I cocreated with Lior Allay + Roarie Yum. All 3 of us have been in the photography/modeling/art industry for… I believe all of us have been in for over 10 years, so we have a lot of information about that world.
This community isn’t just for photographers and models, it’s for any creative medium, period. If you make art at all you’re totally welcome to come. Even if you don’t make art and you’re just a fan of art you’re also welcome to come. This community, we host virtual events twice a month. We have an art share on the 3rd Saturday of every month, which was last weekend so that already happened. We have a community conversation that’s on the 4th Sunday of every month, so that’s coming up as of when this posts, it’s coming up tomorrow!
If you’d like to join us, this month we’re focusing on the topic of NUDITY, so all of the ways in which nudity shows up in art, or doesn’t, there’s a whole spectrum of nude to non nude in art. We wanted to go over nudity and how it’s incorporated in your art, my art, everyone else’s art, so we’re going to have a conversation about that on Sunday, tomorrow, at 1pm eastern. We have a guest speaker that will be speaking about their art and nudity. I’m giving the guest speaker my spot, because usually me Lior + Roarie, we usually talk about the topic a little bit and our art process around that topic, and then we open the floor for everyone to discuss.
We have 3 speakers and then the rest of the event is just a conversation with the community so everyone is welcome to join in. To make space for the guest speaker, I’ve given up my spot to be a speaker and I will just be there participating, so I’m very excited. I’m going to read off the questions we’re going to focus on right now so you can get an idea of some of the things we’ll be talking about tomorrow.
The questions are:
Define your personal experience with nudity whether in your art or life or both.
How do you distinguish between when nudity is presented in a sexual or nonsexual context?
What is your intention behind the use of nudity in your work? What does it represent?
Was there a time you observed controversial usage of nudity (can you describe how it was used and why it felt controversial?)
I’m so excited to dive into this with yall, very excited, so I would super love for you to join us! It’s a choose your own donation price entry, so it could be a dollar, whatever you want to donate. The conversation tomorrow is donation based, the art shares (the next one is next month) those are free for everybody. The conversation we go more in depth and we are also trying to build the community so having some funds makes it much easier to build, and to pay the guest speaker and all of that. Hello friends! Welcome to another vlog post. I have a whole list of things right here that I want to talk about and I’m going to try to not ramble too much so it’s not too long of a video and/or post. Welcome to the 2nd and last mass upload for my archives! I have 11 photosets and 18 video folders that are now accessible to all members! So yeah this is officially the… now I have no set schedule for these blog posts, for new content coming out in terms of photos and videos for members. (EDIT AFTER RECORDING: This also includes the “weekly free posts” that I was sharing from my old blog archive.) Sooo… I wanted to be abundantly clear about the changes that have been happening and are continuing to happen, what’s going on.
Okay so, literally thousands of things for you to look at whenever you want. Archives are massive. The new things are… I’ll be doing a virtual nude gathering every month, starting, well I already started it because I had one last weekend which was awesome! Thank you to those of you who came. Virtual nude gatherings, I’ve decided in order for more people to be able to have access to these really awesome experiences of being naked in community together in a non sexual setting that’s just fun and we connect to each other and we also connect to our own bodies in embodied physical reality kind of way, even though we’re on the internet and screens with each other, I think it’s really special and I want to make sure that more people are able to experience that. I’ll be opening them up, starting next month in April, to the public, but members will always get free tickets! Then also next weekend for Going Beyond the Lens, which is Sunday the 28th we have the community conversation. Oh I should tell you the theme! This month the theme is NUDITY so the art share and the community conversation are both going to be centered around NUDITY! Yay naked! So I’m excited. The conversation, we have several questions that are listed in the conversation eventbrite link which I’ll also link below, the questions are in there, we have everyone, when they sign up, if they want to answer the questions… it’s about art and nudity and how you think about nudity. So if you want to answer the questions, that’s great so then we have more material to talk about during the conversation. We mainly go over these questions but they’re kindof like conversation starters, we definitely continue the conversation in a lot more depth in the actual conversation space than what you type in your answer when you sign up. It’s really special and we really dive into the topic. I always learn something, I just love hearing everyones different perspective and the way they think about the world and the things they’ve learned and I’ve learned so much, it’s really wonderful! If you want to be in creative community with an accepting and loving group of people, join us! So today, Saturday the 20th at 1pm is the art share. Okay so those are all the really main things. I also want to talk about future plans. So going into the future from right now, okay so right now, the things that you as members will receive from me on a monthly basis are: nude gatherings! We get to hang out “in person” and spend time together naked! Uhm that’s really special, so we get to do that, yall get in for free!
I’m going to start uhm I don’t know if I’ll do it in April but at some point soon, I’ll do it surely before like… lemme give myself a deadline to do it because if I don’t I don’t want to string yall along, so by June I’ll start putting out workbooks or videos or how-to things or resources around 4 topics that I’ll center my life online around, in terms of the things that I provide for other people. I in the past have been doing model/photographer things for a really long time, like 10 years, longer than 10 years, and I’m shifting gears from that world to self love, creativity (which is through Going Beyond the Lens), ecosexuality and queerness in general. Self love is big and encompasses all of those, and they kindof all work together, but those are the 4 main things that I’m going to focus on. I’m going to be creating resources and information and videos and there’s a ton of things I have ideas about, so resources in general. I’m going to be creating and offering a lot of them for free, so of course yall can have them too because they’re going to be free for everybody. Everything that I make yall will have access to first, and also can give feedback if you wanna tell me what your thoughts are, that would be super cool! And… so yeah resources of the queer, self love, ecosexuality, creative type, which you can also find resources for GBTL. I feel like I’m being all over the place, I’m sorry, that’s just how I feel today I guess, I hope it’s not too confusing.
So in addition to all of that, yall already have archive access to my 10+ years of photography and modeling so enjoy that, tons of nude… all the fun things, shenanigans, hangouts, all the things, behind the scenes, interviews, nature videos, me doing aerial, there’s a shit ton of stuff in there, but it’s mostly photography of… my work of other people. It’s also photography of people taking photos of me, from when I used to model and I don’t really anymore. It’s kindof fun to not model right now. So in addition to your archive access, another thing yall get is the satisfaction of knowing that literally as a member you are the reason that I can provide resources for self love and creativity and ecosexuality and queerness for free to the public because yall are the reason I can do any of this, literally. You’re the reason I do it, and you make it happen with your support, and it means so much and I am so excited to go into this new and kindof scary but very exciting direction for myself. Rebranding of my website is coming soon, I don’t have a time on that yet, but we’re like… Lior is actually working with me for branding and I am so excited. So yeah my website will be changing a lot soon, it’s going to be even more awesome than it already is. Don’t worry, you’re still going to have access to the archives and all of the member things.
Yeah I just wanted to let you know that I’ll have no set schedule or regularity that I will be posting vlogs like this and new photosets and whatever (EDIT AFTER RECORDING: This also includes the “weekly free posts” that I was sharing from my old blog archive.), but when things are happening, you’ll know first. I’ll come here and be like “hey guess what?! I’m excited about this thing or that thing or like look at all these resources I’m making or look at this new video” yeah all the things.
Also be spammed a lot about GBTL because creativity *raises hands*. Since I have the immense pleasure of creating that community of 2 other amazing artists, that’s the creativity aspect of my 4 main things that I’m going to be focusing on. Creativity is for GBTL and the 3 others are my personal, “yeah let’s get queer ecosexual self love!” Well, self love really goes for GBTL too, but *smile*
Okay I feel like I’ve talked a mile a minute and it’s been a really long video and I’ve told you so many things, I hope it hasn’t been overwhelming. I’m glad that you can watch this over again or rewind it or pause it or just read the thing because all of these words are gonna also be typed up below. I made my job harder by making it a long video. Okay but I had a lot to say so I wrote it down. Okay *laughs* *sighs*

Hi friends! This is the second to last week of these weekly posts! Holy cow! It’s already like… wow February is flying. This week I’ll be sharing a photoset that’s kinda like a mixed photoset of several mediums. I think it’s digital, 35mm, medium format, and polaroid, I think? from Mandy Darling photographing me when I was in Olympia during my cross country road trip in 2019. Yeah I told you I have a whole lot from that trip I’m still posting, and this is not all of it, you’re gonna see a lot more when I do that mass upload in March. But for now, here’s a bunch of photos that Mandy Darling took of me, this was outside of her parent’s house in Olympia I believe? It was her parent’s house, it was a really beautiful place full of gardens and surrounded by woods and it was beautiful. I had a really great time so I hope you enjoy these photos. I don’t have BTS video, but the video from this week I’m sharing is actually a pretty fun video that I made in the spring of 2020. It’s multiple videos, I think it’s like 8 videos. In the spring of 2020 I took a walk in the woods that are behind my house to go to the ponds that are in my neighborhood, there’s a couple of little secret ponds hidden in the woods so it was me taking a walk in the woods and bringing you with me. Some of my favorite parts of this video are when I see little tiny frogs in the grass, there were so many tiny frogs this spring, it was so cute, I’m really excited to see them again. I think there’s a couple of moments when I’m searching for frogs and you can see how cute and tiny they are. So yeah just hanging out in the woods and taking you with me so I hope you enjoy that.
First look people, I will be sharing the double exposures that I took of Lior Allay during the Backstage Pass event for Going Beyond the Lens that was in December of 2020. It was so great, they were so amazing. I did doubles of them during this event and people that were at the event helped… what’s the word? helped direct Lior for some of the poses. So the last I think 6 poses of theirs that you see were directed by people that were at the event, so that was super fun and exciting, I really loved it. It was really enjoyable to create together as a group. I had never experienced anything like that and it was amazing. These doubles were taken with the photos of Bryce Canyon that I took during my cross country road trip. I hope you enjoy all of those.
If you are new here I’ll give you a recap of what is happening very soon. February I’ll do weekly posts like this through the end of February, so after this week there’s one more week of these weekly posts, and then starting in March I’ll be doing monthly members-only hangout gathering virtual live “in person” events, and you’ll also be able to get free admission to some of the paid events that I’ll be participating in or leading that are outside of just members only, they’re also for the public but they have to pay, but members will get to be in there for free. That and I will be in March also mass uploading everything from first look and my backlog which first look hasn’t even seen yet because I have so much content. I’m a little nervous about it because it’s a big change, I’ve been doing for the most part ish, weekly posts like this, since 2016 or 2017, so this is a big major change. I’m really excited about it because it’s going to allow me to have more time to create more free resources for everyone and to have more community experiences, which I’m much more interested in, where I’m in a community where we co-facilitate/cocreate an event together versus right now where I’m just like talking AT you and giving you access to stuff. That’s not as connecting for me, and I’m exited to get to know yall a little better and just…. nurture community. I think we all need community, especially during covid. A lot will be changing, but I’m looking forward to seeing where this is going to go, because instead of talking AT you, I’ll be talking WITH you and that is more exciting to me. I’m starting off with one members-only event per month starting in March because I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many things because I’ll most likely be doing 2 events per month for Going Beyond the Lens.
Speaking of, I think by the time this comes out the event is already happening, I think? Oh I can’t look at my calendar because it’s on my phone and I’m recording on my phone! Oh I have a paper calendar too. Yeah so when this comes out it’s going to be on the 20th and the art share is on the 20th, so when this comes out you have a few hours left to sign up for the art share which is FREE! Doubles with Eva Luna & KH

Hi friends! Ok so I am excited because I feel better since I have more of a plan for what I want to do with my website. We are officially into February which means it’s our last month of the weekly things like this. I’m excited so here we go!
This week I’m sharing double exposures that I took of Eva Luna & KH from my cross country road trip in 2019 at that nude beach that I’ve already told yall about a couple of times because I’ve shared.. I think this is the last thing I have to share from that day with them. These are the double exposures that I took of them. The landscapes are from Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks from earlier in that same trip when I was in California. I think they’re super beautiful, I really love how they came out. There’s also behind the scenes video for this photoset, so yay!
And then first look folks, I’m sharing the double exposures… this is a whole double exposure week. I’m sharing the double exposures that I took of Dawn, also known as coconutdreamin in the past. They’re so dreamy. The doubles…. I think it was last week, I shared me posing for Dawn, and this week it’s Dawn posing for me for the doubles so it was in the same place. I have BTS of this as well. The doubles, the landscape part of the doubles is from Glacier National Park in Montana from my cross country road trip, and the photos of Dawn I took in my house in NC, in… I’m pretty sure it was November or December of 2019. Dawn cut their hair also recently, so this before Dawn cut their hair, but Dawn has short hair now also, pretty exciting. Yeah so I don’t want to make this super long because my plan is to make some of these videos early so that I can get ahead so I can plan more exciting things for yall, and also so that I can get a head start on the mass upload of everything once March rolls around, so excited for that.
If you’re new here and you haven’t seen the past blogs that I’ve done in the last month, I’m doing an overhaul of my website and February is the last month of these weekly posts like this. In March I’ll be mass uploading everything from my backlog and all the things from First Look will be available for everybody. I’m also I think going to make one membership tier and it’s just going to be sliding scale, that’s what I’m thinking about doing because I feel like, just makes the most sense, it’s the most simple, and it also means that everything is accessible to everybody and you pay what you’re able to pay. I’ll have more information on that soon, I’ll be rebuilding my membership page, rebuilding my whole website yay! Not really excited about that because also how do I brand?! So yeah that’s something I’m thinking about a lot is like, do I wanna do branding for my website? How do I do that? What do I want my colors to be? What do I want my fonts to be? What do I want to emphasize? So right now I’m really focusing on I think… you might be excited for this, because I think most people that come to my website are most intrigued by nude gatherings, which… I am excited to tell you… I don’t have any official plans yet but my plan is to make a plan for virtual nude gatherings! So yay! That’s really exciting to me. So yeah I want to focus on virtual hangout things, nude and non nude, like educational opportunities where I share the knowledge that I have and you also share the knowledge that you have because I’m not a guru that knows everything. I know a little bit about a lot of things so I want to share knowledge, not just dispense it. I want to.. what’s the word. I want to circulate it around, I want to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, not like “I hold all of it and you have to be a certain way in order for me to share it with you” no. So I’m excited about all of that, the potential for all of these changes is pretty exciting, while it’s also scary at the same time. You know, life changes are scary but also exciting.
So yeah…. I’m going to do a quick recap of my plans, even though I’ve kinda been doing a recap of my plans here already. Weekly posts will continue as they have been through February and then will be no more. I will hopefully in March mass upload all of my backlog and first look into the galleries for everyone. I’ll be redoing my website, restructuring my memberships. If you’re already a member this won’t affect you, because everything will stay the same for you basically, you’ll just be most likely having more access to more content because it’s in my backlog right now that you’ll be getting in March, hopefully. March is the plan. Starting hopefully in March I’ll be doing at least one monthly members-only video virtual hangout community gathering thing. I probably will have themes or topics for us to talk about. I would like to have some kind of structure around it but I don’t want to just be talking AT you the whole time, I want to have a conversation between us.
I will be, OH! I haven’t told yall this yet. Or… I might post about it before this comes out. On February 12th, it’s a Friday, I will be… what’s the word… a special guest maybe? I will be helping with a, they’re calling it a playshop, which is exciting. I’ll be a part of a playshop called EcoLove Playshop that is hosted by Lior Allay & Jenna Citrus. I’m very excited because it’s centered around loving ourselves and loving the earth and coming together as a community to do those things, so I’m really excited about that. I’ll put the link in the caption below so you can sign up. (SIGN UP HERE!) If you’re not a member of my website it’s $11 to register, but as a member, you get to join for free! So I’ll share with you the code to get in for free instead of having to pay for it, so yay, another perk to being a member, is events like that that are pay to register, you’ll get to register for free! I’ve already sent Lior my two cents to share in the slideshow, and I’ll lead a short energy practice for us. I believe I’ll be at the beginning of the playshop, so I’m excited to do a little thing at the beginning and then experience it with you, yay.
What else? On the third Saturday of every month is going to be the Art Share through Going Beyond the Lens. That’s going to continually happen. Those are free, whether you’re a member or not those are free for everybody. I’m excited about that. If you have art you’d like to share with us, I’ll share the signup info below also! (REGISTER HERE!) There’s a recurring eventbrite for that through May I believe, is what we have it scheduled through, so far. The plan is to do it every month, we have the recurring event go through May for now. Yeah! I’m excited! I hope you are too.

Sept 2019 Road Trip with Lior Allay + getting closer to big changes for bunnyluna.com

Hey friends! Welcome to another week of… wildness I guess. Today is the 20th, I’m doing this a little early because tomorrow I’m getting more tattoo done and Thursday is usually my day to prep these, so I’m doing it Wednesday since Thursday I’m getting tattooed.
This week I’m sharing a photoset that I created with Lior Allay in New York State when we were there in the fall of 2019. I have the photoset that I took of Lior with their camera, it was just a collaborative fun like… we woke up in the morning and went out to this field and just.. did our thing. I’m also sharing a bunch of photos and videos from that trip, so it’s a bunch of random things from that trip. Some of it is in the same place as the photos that we took and some of it was just from our travels, so enjoy this variety scramble of content from me.
First look members I’m sharing the photos and videos from the other people who were taking photos and videos during the nude gathering here at my house last… not even last year, in 2019 in the fall. They are photos that were taken by an anonymous person who was a participant and photographer there, and also photos that were taken by Nova Amour who is a model and also a photographer, her photography name is Foremost Imagery. I have their stuff to share with you for first look.
I have plans for what I’m going to share with you through mid-February, I may or may not go with the plan that I have right now which is to just continue doing what I’ve been doing. I’m really considering dropping all of my backlog at once into the galleries so that yall can enjoy that and so that I can maybe take a break for a month or two in the weekly things… so that I can recalibrate and figure out what I want to do to change my website. That option is kinda scary to me at the moment because I know a lot of you really like having consistent weekly updates, and I’ve been… I think it’s been since 2014, or 2015 or maybe 2016… so it’s been like 5 years of me posting every week on whatever my site is because it used to be Patreon and now it’s my website. I’ve been consistently posting every week for like 5 years and if I do this shift, then that means it’ll be the first time in 5 years that I’ll change what I’m doing in a really major way, and that’s scary but also kindof exciting. I continue to notice that I’m not really excited to do computer work things, well I’m never really excited to do computer work things because I get really drained by looking at screens. I always much prefer the act and the experience of creating than like the, organization, categorization, posting, sharing part of art. I much prefer the act of doing it than any of the stuff afterwards. Like the photos are a really great… memory to share and a really great physical or digital representation of the time that I had either with my self or with other people when I was creating. All of the stuff that I do after the actual creation part is my least favorite part, to be honest. It’s a part of it, because if you take photos, it’s probably smart to have them organized on your computer so you know where to find them, but all of the after-creation stuff isn’t my favorite and it’s actually the creation part that I enjoy doing. So I feel like maybe I’ll… take a month or two or three off from consistent posting on here and kindof recalibrate and figure out… what do I want to create now? What am I excited about creating? How can I do it in a way that doesn’t burn me out? How can I do it in a way that benefits the people that are coming here? And also… do it in a way that it’s something that I really enjoy doing. So… yeah I’m still feeling that out, I haven’t made a solid decision yet, but I’m getting closer to deciding, and I’m really leaning towards taking a month or two or three off. Even though that’s scary because I’m afraid of losing support, I feel like if I’m able to be fully embracing of the things that I need and want, and the things that I really want to put out in the world, which is kindof different than what it has been in the past. I really feel like, if I’m being myself and being authentic and honest then the right people will show up for me, and the people who were only here for the things that aren’t as exciting to me will fall away and that’s okay. Like, I have no hard feelings if you’re only here to see nude stuff every week, I understand if you no longer want to do that, because that’s what you’re here for and if I’m not going to be doing that then it makes sense. That being said, I probably will never completely stop doing nude things because nudity is a major part of my life. Yeah I just.. I told you before, I’ve taken, I’ve done… like 3 or 4 shoots in the entirety of 2020. I just haven’t… I haven’t been feeling creative, I haven’t felt motivation or inspiration to create something of my own in a while. I’m kindof much more interested now in celebrating queerness and non monogamy, asexuality, ecosexuality, transness… meditation, healing, energy, all of those kinds of things are what I’d like to share about, which is kindof different but also kindof the same as what I’ve been doing for a long time. The road that I’ve been traveling has mostly been the same, I’m just taking a different way than I used to, if that makes sense.
So yeah I’ll give you a head’s up once I fully decide, hopefully I’ll fully decide soon. I do have a plan for weekly posts through February 13th that’s already planned and ready to go. So maybe that’ll be my last post like this? Then maybe after that I’ll mass upload all of the backlog that I have? So I don’t know, that’s kindof what I’m feeling like, so get ready. If you’re here for the nudes, they’ll still be available. I’m kindof feeling like maybe in the future if I’m changing things after I take a break, when I come back I’ll probably still have my archive and gallery still available, but it won’t be a primary thing that I’m adding to consistently. I want to focus more on community like I mentioned last week, and having online experiences where we can be together “in person” virtually. So I think that would be my focus, is more community and more… free resource kindof things, let’s explore stuff and learn things together kindof…. things. Still figuring it out, but yeah this is your head’s up. Most likely will continue the regular posting posting through mid-February and then after that things will probably change and be different.
I’ll post an official announcement whenever I officially decide what I’m doing, which I’m still figuring that out, but you have at least an idea now of what direction I’m going so that you can decide what works best for you. I would super incredibly much appreciate your continued support, because you’re the reason that I can pay rent, and also it’s really wonderful to know that there are people here who support me even though I’m shifting and changing. And ALSO if it’s best for you to no longer support me, I totally understand and there are no hard feelings. I would just very appreciate if you stay, because I know that even if I do take a break, which I’m very leaning towards, yes I’m going to take a break for 1-3 months, but if I do take a break I’m excited to see what that opens up for me, and see what I’m drawn to creating during that, if anything, and lean further into community and learning, education, resource stuff. So yeah that’s where I’m at! Okay I think that’s all I have to say today. Yeah I’ll give you more precise information when I have it when I’ve figured that out for myself. I think I’m just scared of change because it is scary and I don’t know what will happen. I love you, thank you for being here, you mean so much to me!
