Doubles with Notrlygrace
I visited Nashville earlier this year and had the privilege of staying with and creating with Notrlygrace while I was there! This is the first photoset from our afternoon of creating that I’ll be sharing with you. We drove to a place called Natchez Trace which is a parkway that runs between Nashville Tennessee and Natchez Mississippi. We drove along for a bit until we found a spot to park and hike, and sneakily took some nudes at an overlook on the trail!CURRENTLY: I am a good deal of the way through moving from my sister’s house to my parents house (my childhood home, I’m so happy and excited to go back!). My official move date is TOMORROW, Sunday the 17th. I’ve been bouncing around from place to place so much lately that it feels like I have 3 homes instead of just one. How lucky am I that so many people welcome me into their homes and lives?! I’m really looking forward to getting all moved in, unpacked, and making my room my own private sanctuary. I never fully unpacked when I moved in with my sister and I’m so ready to have my natural treasures displayed again! I’ve missed my skulls, bones, feathers, shells and leaves!

Sasha at an Abandoned West Virginia Mine
In early May I went up to West Virginia and spent a few days with my friend Sasha Jacobsen. During one of the days I was there we went hiking at a location that had abandoned mines to take their first nude in nature photos! We had a lot of fun and at the VERY end of our shoot a guy showed up out of nowhere on the trail carrying a snake! Luckily he was really cool about the nudity and only seemed interested in showing us the snake that he had found on his hike. It was a rather odd encounter but I’m glad it went the way it did!CURRENTLY: I’m figuring out when the best time to move back into my parents house will be. They just left this morning for their own 2 month cross country adventure (they were inspired by my trip this summer!), and I’m watching the house for them while they’re gone. I’m going to be moving in and staying there for the foreseeable future. It’s been about 9 years since I moved out, and honestly I’m really excited to live with them again! I know for most people it’s a negative thing to move back in with parents, but for me it’s a celebratory thing! I love them so much and I’m excited to be spending more time with them once they’re back from their trip. Now I just need to pack and find a day that my friends are available to help me move my stuff!

Dream Room with Antisocialdisposition
If you’ve been a member for a while you probably remember all the photosets I’ve shared from the creative day at Durham Fruit with Antisocialdisposition, Roarie Yum, and Mikki Marvel. This is the LAST PHOTOSET from that day! Whew! We created so much and it was such a fun day!CURRENTLY: I still am thinking about making vlogs to share but I’m realizing it’s a LOT of work and I don’t know if I can feasibly make it happen every week. Maybe I will just create extra videos for All Access members? I haven’t decided! For now, I’ll keep typing up blog posts until I figure it out. Oh, did I mention I finally started a youtube channel?!I’ve been feeling like I’m in a really transitional phase (still haha, it’s been going on for over a year now) and I don’t know when things will feel “normal” again. What even is normal?! I used to be very scheduled and plan things months ahead and it would stress me out to change plans… and now I’m purposefully NOT scheduling things far out because now I know how much can change within the span of a month (or a week to be honest) and I don’t want to commit to something that I potentially might have to back out of later. It feels really good to be more intuitive, flexible, and protective of my schedule. How do you use your schedule in a way that feels good for you?

Studio with Tiffany Nacke
Last time Tiffany Nacke was in Charlotte we photographed each other at Flaming Chicken Studio. I’ve already shared the photos she took of me, so here are the photos I took of her!CURRENTLY: I’ve been sooo moody and emotional lately and it feels like it’s remnants of all of the stuff that was happening this time last year. Last October through March (or really… May) was the most difficult time of my life so far. SO MUCH has changed since then, but so much is still the same somehow. Life is so weird. It feels awkward typing out real life stuff to yall here when I really prefer to make videos and talk about it. I feel so much more authentic, like I’m actually speaking to yall, when I make videos vs when I type up blog posts. I really think I want to start making videos instead of blog posts…

Bodypaint self portraits
Wow I just looked at the date I took these self portraits… November of last year! That really goes to show how much I have in the First Look archive, because things live there (sometimes for quite a while) before I release them to Photo and Video members! I didn’t realize I took these so long ago, almost a whole year! Wow how things have changed.I took these self portraits when I was stood up by TWO models, thankfully I was able to shoot with each of them later on, but I waited for them for a while before I decided I would just create anyway without them haha. I’m so glad I took these, this was such a fun shoot for me. You can really tell how much fun it was when you watch the videos!CURRENTLY: I have been updating and improving my website since last week and I am SO excited with the changes I’ve made so far. The memberships part of it has been improved GREATLY and I have even more upgrades in mind to make it easier for everyone to view all of the content I have to share! It’s going to take me a bit of time to get everything done that I want to get done, but in the meantime my website is already better than ever! I am honestly really proud of myself, I built this website all by myself and everything you see here was all done by me! With no formal training or anything! I am so happy to be able to have full control over my website because everywhere else on the internet doesn’t feel safe enough for my nude art.

Bette Machete on slide film
This is the last set I had left to share from a morning of creating with Bette Machete at a riverside park outside of Charlotte NC in March 2018. Wow it’s wild that I haven’t shared this one with yall yet! Photosets and videos sometimes stay in the First Look galleries for a while before I release them because I just have SO MUCH CONTENT to share with you!We took these photos pretty quickly and we didn’t think there was anyone else at the park but we were wrong! If you watch the BTS video you can see when a group of people walked down the trail while we were shooting, thankfully they were cool about it!CURRENTLY: I am prepping this post super early this week (Monday the 7th) because I have a lot of stuff going on later this week so I wanted to make sure this was squared away before I got caught up in all of the things! The biggest thing going on is that I’m going to be away all weekend with my mom for the Southeast Wise Women’s Herbal Conference! I’m not a big fan of the gendered name for the conference, but the classes I’ll be taking and the knowledge I’ll gain from it make up for it. I’m so excited!

Studio with Tiffany Nacke
I recently released a double exposure photoset of me & Tiffany Nacke taken by Antisocialdisposition… this photoset was taken that same day! I still have one more photoset to share with you from this creative studio day, the film photoset I took of Tiffany!CURRENTLY: I’ve been in a weird place emotionally and I posted a bit about it on my instagram story yesterday (Tuesday, you know, bc I always get these posts ready early so that I’m NEVER late). As much as I absolutely love sharing my art with you, it’s becoming increasingly clear to me that something is missing. I am feeling the need for some kind of shift, I just don’t know what that is yet. I know I want to focus more on love, healing, and inclusion, and less on “oh hey look naked people” because that just feels like it leaves so much room for the sexualization of my images instead of the celebration of humanity that they’re actually created to be.I don’t plan on stopping creating, I’m just taking a break for a few months (through the end of the year) on creating anything new. I created SO MUCH this summer that I have a big backlog of photosets and videos to edit/upload so I know I’ll still have consistent content to share with you even while I’m not actively creating. I think the big to do list that I have is part of my stress, and I know stepping back from doing so much will give me the time and space that I need to sift through everything I’ve made this summer. I’m really excited to share all of the photos and videos I created on my trips!!!

Purplechrome pond with Drake Avenue
Drake Avenue and I have known each other for several years now and have created together several times. One of the most recent shoots we did was at a pond and abandoned building that’s right outside of my parents neighborhood. I always enjoy spending time and creating with Drake, and I love the way these images turned out.CURRENTLY: I got home yesterday (Wednesday, bc as always here I am writing this early) from a week and a half on the road with Lior Allay. Wow what an incredible adventure that was! I left Charlotte NC and stayed a couple days with them outside of Philadelphia PA, then we went to Pittsburgh PA, Columbus OH, Detroit MI, Toronto Canada, Buffalo NY, and then I dropped them back off in Philly the day before yesterday. Such a whirlwind trip with lots of great shoots and an incredible workshop! I’m too exhausted to write out everything right now, and I’d honestly rather make video blogs than type out blog posts anyway…I might replace typed out blogs with video blogs at some point. What do you think?Comment below! I’d love to hear from you!

Kara & V
Kara Perry and I met V at her house and the three of us created together! Kara and I both took photos and posed for each other, and V posed with both of us. V’s house is such a great location, with both outdoor and indoor options, including some abandoned houses next to her property!CURRENTLY: I am in a 1 bed 1 bath apartment in a castle overlooking Pittsburgh with Lior Allay! This will be posting the morning of the art event we’re hosting outside of Detroit, so as I usually do I’m getting this weekend’s post ready early! I am so excited for this event, it’ll be held at a permaculture farm and will be a creative educational experience for everyone involved. I have no idea what all is in store, but I’m looking forward to seeing what it becomes!

Bloom with Portraitmami
I’m fortunate that Portraitmami lives in Charlotte because I’ve been able to create with them several times! I always love the images we capture together. We took these at their apartment a few months ago, I loved incorporating the flowers!CURRENTLY: I’m at home doing as much computer work as I can before I leave on Sunday to be gone for essentially 2 weeks (2 different trips but I only gave myself 1 day in between them, oops!). I’m so excited for all of the things coming up for me, I’m really looking forward to traveling and creating with Lior Allay and co-leading/teaching/hosting an art event in Detroit on Sept 14th! If you live in Detroit please come join us, it’s free to show up! (Click here for more info)I was fortunate enough to win a giveaway that Luna Dietrich / Pussywitch did for her course Pleasure Witch Academy, I am so thankful because I know this is what I need at this point in my life. I’ve been going through so many changes and learning so much more about myself and I know this course will be transformative for me. Class starts today (Wednesday the 4th, bc you know I always get these posts ready early haha) and lasts for 3 months, I’m a little nervous that I’ll fall behind because I have a lot of other things going on, but I’m excited to do this for myself.
