I’ve already shared a couple photosets from this epic shoot day at Durham Fruit with Roarie Yum, Antisocialdisposition, and Mikki Marvel. This is the next set I have to share with you, and I still have a couple more to share in the future! This was such a fun day full of laughter, running around naked, and taking tons of photos and videos. My favorite kind of day!
Mikki had to leave early, so later in the afternoon Roarie, AD, and I shot in the basement after shooting upstairs with Mikki all morning. Down in the basement there were a couple of men doing construction on a few of the rooms so that’s why there’s construction sounds in the BTS videos. They were respectful and didn’t stare or interrupt us or anything, it was really nice. Roarie was working for Durham Fruit at the time of the shoot so she had already warned them that we would be around taking nude photos. Durham Fruit is a really interesting old building with lots of history and the basement shows the history especially well, with the crumbly looking walls throughout and old machinery in one of the rooms. It was really dark down there so we made due with the few lights that were scattered around. It’s always an enjoyable challenge to work with what’s available. =]

  • Film in the studio with Takama Photo

I met Takama Photo (previously known as Marc Andre) at a workshop set up by Mikki Marvel here in the Charlotte area a few years ago and we hit it off so about a year later we set up a shoot in the studio he shared with a couple other photographers. I posed for him and his associate Muzse Photo on the same day, it was a really fun and creative day in the studio! I have the set that Muzse took of me to share in the future =]

  • Hanging On

This photoset taken by Vinny Kim in an abandoned school can be found in the July 2017 gallery.

This was in the gym area of the school that had a basketball court below and this interesting and really well lit area above it. There’s at least a 12 or 15 foot drop to the floor below. A good, trusting relationship with a photographer gives me the freedom to explore more dangerous poses like this one!

  • Burnt

This photoset taken by Nuance Artistry can be found in the October 2016 gallery.

This burned down abandoned house was both wonderful and really sad. It was a unique creative playground, but it was obviously once someone’s home.

Can you find the image in this set that was taken as I was pulling glass out of my foot? Because of this shoot I always keep a first aid kit in my camera / modeling bag. haha

These 2 sets are the last of the sets I had stored in the First Look gallery from this epic shoot day with Satya, Michael O’Neill, and Colorvibes, assisted by my mom and sister. I’ve shared a bunch of photosets from this day already… we made so much art that I’m so proud of. Michael and Colorvibes both took photos of Satya & me, I’ve already shared the photos from Colorvibes, and these are the final sets from Michael. Some of the photos have bubbles in them that my mom and sister blew from off camera (not shown in these photos but you can find them in the gallery). I am so thankful that there are so many wonderful creatives in Charlotte that I’ve been able to create with over the years. I love our little art community here so much.
