Self Portraits in Utah
CAPTION FOR THE VIDEO ABOVE:
Hiii! This is the last week of these weekly posts, can you believe it? I kindof can’t to be honest, it’s here already. So this week I’m sharing a self portrait set that I took in the summer of 2019 during my cross country road trip, I have so many to share from there. This I took outside of Grand Staircase Escalante in Utah. Most of the self portrait sets that I took on my cross country road trip were in Utah because I spent all of June in Utah basically because I fucking love Utah. So I was outside of Grand Staircase Escalante and I was parked on the side of a dirt road, that I honestly don’t know where it went, I don’t know where the dirt road would have taken me to if I had driven the whole way. I was basically just parked on the side of a dirt road and taking photos behind my van, and don’t be startled please, hopefully, I hope I don’t scare you but HERE’S YOUR WARNING, in the BTS video for this photoset I think at the end of both of them, because I had to do 2 videos for it because cars kept driving by and I kept getting spooked and having to grab my phone and hide behind my van because I really thought I was alone but occasionally I wasn’t so yeah uhm I hope you’re not too startled when I grab the phone and run when I was taking these videos. To me its pretty funny, I hope you think it’s funny too. I have one of those sticker phone protector things on my cell phone and this is the same phone that I had when I was on my trip and I still have Utah dirt under some of the sticker on my phone because of this. When I was taking self portraits I took them with a digital camera because it has an interval timer and I could do self portraits way faster and take way more in a shorter amount of time than I could do with film. So I had my digital camera on a tripod a cute little mini tripod with these movable leg things where I would attach my phone on the top of the camera, so I would have like digital camera, cell phone. When I had to grab the camera, I would grab the whole camera and tripod, and when I grabbed the camera/tripod because I was trying to hide to make sure nobody saw me naked out in the middle of nowhere, my cell phone that was on top of the camera had fallen off of the camera because it wasn’t super securely attached, so I would grab my stuff and run and my phone would drop and I was like “oh shit.” I just think it’s funny, so you get to experience that in video form from the perspective of my cell phone camera, I hope you enjoy.
First look has access now to the self portrait double exposures that I took in June of 2020, this is one of the few photosets that I took. I had a roll of film that I took during my cross country road trip that was from Dead Horse Point State Park which is one of my favorite places in the world that I’ve been to, several times now because it’s incredible. That’s where the landscape part of it is from, the self portrait part was here at my house in June of 2020 in my makeshift studio, which is my black blanket draped over the couch that’s in front of the window in the living room. I had a little bit of trouble with these actually, I didn’t know until I got them developed, you’ll see when you see the photoset, a lot of them the image of me wasn’t exposed enough, it was underexposed, so you can’t really see me and it’s mostly just landscape. I think it’s because I was taking self portraits and I was doing this number where I was back here and reaching to the camera to press the camera to get it to do the self timer and then I would come back, so I think in the moving… it would assume it was taking the picture of me this close and then I would move back and the exposure needed to be different than when I was this close, so yeah so that didn’t work very well. But I still really love the photos that did show up, you’ll see what I mean when you see them. They’re still amazing landscapes so you’ll enjoy them either way hopefully. Then I also have, to make up for some of the only landscape photos, I also have some self portraits that I took in the summer of 2020, some of the very few things that I created in 2020, they’re medium format panoramic pinhole self portraits. The panoramic pinhole camera is one that I made with my dad when I was in college. Actually, if you hold on one second I’m going to get the camera and show you what it looks like because it’s really cool. Okay thank you for your patience.
This is the camera, there’s a pinhole in here, you probably can’t see because it’s really tiny, but that’s essentially the “lens” and this is my shutter, and this is the film advance. It is panoramic because it has the curved film plane, and it takes medium format film. So yeah I think it’s pretty cool. I need to re-glue this thing in here, because last time I shot with it this nut/bolt thing that came out, it’s just glued in there. There’s a photo in one of these self portraits that looks like a double exposure of me against a fence and then the sky and trees. That’s on accident because this fell off the tripod and was exposed to the sky and trees and I was like “fuck it, I’m going to still try to take a picture anyway” and then took a self portrait with that part of the film, so that’s what happened there. Some of these, not all of these, but some of these panoramic pinhole self portraits, I took during a live video chat with a few of you members. We just hung out on video chat while I was taking these photos in the back yard. Sorry I haven’t shown them to you yet, it’s been a while but uhm… here they are. So yeah if you want to know more about this camera I can talk to you more about it. It was pretty fun to make, I don’t know if I’ll ever do it again. You have to open it with a little screwdriver because this is the only way it opens, and also this is how I take the photos. I have this chart, I do a meter reading and find where it matches up. Say if it was f/8 1/60 of a second, then I would go all the way over here… so that means between 6 and 10 seconds I need to have the exposure, beacuse my aperture is tiny as fuck, it’s somewhere between f/150-f/200. So since it was between 6-10 seconds I would probably do an 8 second exposure, so that’s how I did all of those, is with this. And they turned out really well. Also if they were longer exposures, like some of them were probably around the 30 second range, yeah long exposure, you’ll see this because I did it a lot. I would go to one place and then count a third or a half of the time that I was supposed to take, and then move, so that it looked like a double exposure, but it’s really a single exposure, it’s just a long exposure and I moved. Yay photography.
This is a long video already but I want to give you a short recap of what is about to happen. This is the last weekly post like this for the foreseeable future, unless I change my mind. The things that will be happening soon: sometime in March I will be making a mass upload of all of the first look and all of my backlog content, photos and videos, so it’s a fuck ton, I’ll be doing a mass upload sometime in March. I’m also working on overhauling my whole website. I might be starting to do some of that before this comes out, we’ll see. I will be doing at least once a month members-only community gatherings online, virtual hangouts, and right now that’s the plan. I might be changing other things but right now at this point I’ll be doing the members-only events like online hangout topic let’s talk let’s learn let’s do things together. I would really like to experiment with virtual nude gatherings and focus more on creating free resources for people and talking more about queerness and gender and ecosexuality and non monogamy and… what else? I have a whole list, energy healing, movement as medicine, spirituality, plant medicine, all kinds of stuff. So more on that soon. I don’t want to give it all away.
So basically if you’re a member here you’re a sponsor of me creating things that will hopefully help everyone. I don’t want to gatekeep the information that I have that is helpful for a lot of people, whether or not they can afford it, like the queerness and ecosexuality kind of stuff. So yall will be the reason that I’m able to do that if that makes sense. Like, you’re a member to get perks, but also you’re allowing me to create things and share things that help everybody, so that means a lot, a whole lot. So that’s where I’m at right now. I will probably, my guess is I will still make some videos like this because vlogs are fun and I like to let yall know what’s going on so… it just won’t be, I won’t have a set schedule of when I’ll be posting stuff like this. I will probably make a schedule for our monthly video hangouts. Comment below or email me (OR CLICK HERE FOR A QUICK AND EASY SURVEY!) and tell me what days of the week work best for you, what times, I’m assuming nights and weekends, people probably work, let me know… I obviously probably can’t accommodate everyone’s schedule, but I’ll do my best to do the members-only virtual hangouts when the most amount of people are available. So that’s the plan right now, yay.
I can’t believe this is the last week. I love you, thank you for being here, it means so much! You are the reason that I can do any of this in the first place, so I appreciate it greatly. I love you. If you want to know more about my fancy wooden and metal panoramic pinhole camera, let me know, it might be fun to make a youtube video about it or something. Maybe we can do… maybe I can take more self portraits with it and you can be there live with me while I do it, that was pretty fun last time. Let me know if you want to do that again. Okay, I love you, thank you for being here, thank you so much, I’m excited to see where all these changes take all of us. Yeah I’m doing my overhaul of my website, some of it might already be done by the time this comes out. I’m doing some of these videos early so that I can get ahead and make sure I’m not too stressed last minute. I love you, thank you. *blows kiss* Love you! Bye!

Olympia with Mandy Darling
CAPTION FOR THE VIDEO ABOVE:
Hi friends! This is the second to last week of these weekly posts! Holy cow! It’s already like… wow February is flying. This week I’ll be sharing a photoset that’s kinda like a mixed photoset of several mediums. I think it’s digital, 35mm, medium format, and polaroid, I think? from Mandy Darling photographing me when I was in Olympia during my cross country road trip in 2019. Yeah I told you I have a whole lot from that trip I’m still posting, and this is not all of it, you’re gonna see a lot more when I do that mass upload in March. But for now, here’s a bunch of photos that Mandy Darling took of me, this was outside of her parent’s house in Olympia I believe? It was her parent’s house, it was a really beautiful place full of gardens and surrounded by woods and it was beautiful. I had a really great time so I hope you enjoy these photos. I don’t have BTS video, but the video from this week I’m sharing is actually a pretty fun video that I made in the spring of 2020. It’s multiple videos, I think it’s like 8 videos. In the spring of 2020 I took a walk in the woods that are behind my house to go to the ponds that are in my neighborhood, there’s a couple of little secret ponds hidden in the woods so it was me taking a walk in the woods and bringing you with me. Some of my favorite parts of this video are when I see little tiny frogs in the grass, there were so many tiny frogs this spring, it was so cute, I’m really excited to see them again. I think there’s a couple of moments when I’m searching for frogs and you can see how cute and tiny they are. So yeah just hanging out in the woods and taking you with me so I hope you enjoy that.
First look people, I will be sharing the double exposures that I took of Lior Allay during the Backstage Pass event for Going Beyond the Lens that was in December of 2020. It was so great, they were so amazing. I did doubles of them during this event and people that were at the event helped… what’s the word? helped direct Lior for some of the poses. So the last I think 6 poses of theirs that you see were directed by people that were at the event, so that was super fun and exciting, I really loved it. It was really enjoyable to create together as a group. I had never experienced anything like that and it was amazing. These doubles were taken with the photos of Bryce Canyon that I took during my cross country road trip. I hope you enjoy all of those.
If you are new here I’ll give you a recap of what is happening very soon. February I’ll do weekly posts like this through the end of February, so after this week there’s one more week of these weekly posts, and then starting in March I’ll be doing monthly members-only hangout gathering virtual live “in person” events, and you’ll also be able to get free admission to some of the paid events that I’ll be participating in or leading that are outside of just members only, they’re also for the public but they have to pay, but members will get to be in there for free. That and I will be in March also mass uploading everything from first look and my backlog which first look hasn’t even seen yet because I have so much content. I’m a little nervous about it because it’s a big change, I’ve been doing for the most part ish, weekly posts like this, since 2016 or 2017, so this is a big major change. I’m really excited about it because it’s going to allow me to have more time to create more free resources for everyone and to have more community experiences, which I’m much more interested in, where I’m in a community where we co-facilitate/cocreate an event together versus right now where I’m just like talking AT you and giving you access to stuff. That’s not as connecting for me, and I’m exited to get to know yall a little better and just…. nurture community. I think we all need community, especially during covid. If you have any questions please let me know, you can comment on this post, you can send me an email, you can contact me in another way if you want. Yeah I’m excited even though I’m scared. A lot will be changing, but I’m looking forward to seeing where this is going to go, because instead of talking AT you, I’ll be talking WITH you and that is more exciting to me. I’m starting off with one members-only event per month starting in March because I don’t want to overwhelm myself with too many things because I’ll most likely be doing 2 events per month for Going Beyond the Lens.
Speaking of, I think by the time this comes out the event is already happening, I think? Oh I can’t look at my calendar because it’s on my phone and I’m recording on my phone! Oh I have a paper calendar too. Yeah so when this comes out it’s going to be on the 20th and the art share is on the 20th, so when this comes out you have a few hours left to sign up for the art share which is FREE! (CLICK HERE TO REGISTER) It’s going to happen at 1pm eastern time, so you have a little bit of time if you haven’t signed up yet, we would love to have you join us, whether or not you share your art with us. That’s through Going Beyond the Lens, I’ll put a link if you’d like more information (CLICK HERE FOR INFO), it’s the collective that I’m a cofounder of. What else? I think that’s all for this week. Change is scary but I’m excited and super thankful for you for being here with me through it. Yeah you mean so much to me and I’m so excited to have more opportunity to grow with you, so thank you. I love you! *blows kiss*

Sept 2019 Road Trip with Lior Allay + getting closer to big changes for bunnyluna.com
CAPTION FOR THE VIDEO ABOVE:
Hey friends! Welcome to another week of… wildness I guess. Today is the 20th, I’m doing this a little early because tomorrow I’m getting more tattoo done and Thursday is usually my day to prep these, so I’m doing it Wednesday since Thursday I’m getting tattooed.
This week I’m sharing a photoset that I created with Lior Allay in New York State when we were there in the fall of 2019. I have the photoset that I took of Lior with their camera, it was just a collaborative fun like… we woke up in the morning and went out to this field and just.. did our thing. I’m also sharing a bunch of photos and videos from that trip, so it’s a bunch of random things from that trip. Some of it is in the same place as the photos that we took and some of it was just from our travels, so enjoy this variety scramble of content from me.
First look members I’m sharing the photos and videos from the other people who were taking photos and videos during the nude gathering here at my house last… not even last year, in 2019 in the fall. They are photos that were taken by an anonymous person who was a participant and photographer there, and also photos that were taken by Nova Amour who is a model and also a photographer, her photography name is Foremost Imagery. I have their stuff to share with you for first look.
I have plans for what I’m going to share with you through mid-February, I may or may not go with the plan that I have right now which is to just continue doing what I’ve been doing. I’m really considering dropping all of my backlog at once into the galleries so that yall can enjoy that and so that I can maybe take a break for a month or two in the weekly things… so that I can recalibrate and figure out what I want to do to change my website. That option is kinda scary to me at the moment because I know a lot of you really like having consistent weekly updates, and I’ve been… I think it’s been since 2014, or 2015 or maybe 2016… so it’s been like 5 years of me posting every week on whatever my site is because it used to be Patreon and now it’s my website. I’ve been consistently posting every week for like 5 years and if I do this shift, then that means it’ll be the first time in 5 years that I’ll change what I’m doing in a really major way, and that’s scary but also kindof exciting. I continue to notice that I’m not really excited to do computer work things, well I’m never really excited to do computer work things because I get really drained by looking at screens. I always much prefer the act and the experience of creating than like the, organization, categorization, posting, sharing part of art. I much prefer the act of doing it than any of the stuff afterwards. Like the photos are a really great… memory to share and a really great physical or digital representation of the time that I had either with my self or with other people when I was creating. All of the stuff that I do after the actual creation part is my least favorite part, to be honest. It’s a part of it, because if you take photos, it’s probably smart to have them organized on your computer so you know where to find them, but all of the after-creation stuff isn’t my favorite and it’s actually the creation part that I enjoy doing. So I feel like maybe I’ll… take a month or two or three off from consistent posting on here and kindof recalibrate and figure out… what do I want to create now? What am I excited about creating? How can I do it in a way that doesn’t burn me out? How can I do it in a way that benefits the people that are coming here? And also… do it in a way that it’s something that I really enjoy doing. So… yeah I’m still feeling that out, I haven’t made a solid decision yet, but I’m getting closer to deciding, and I’m really leaning towards taking a month or two or three off. Even though that’s scary because I’m afraid of losing support, I feel like if I’m able to be fully embracing of the things that I need and want, and the things that I really want to put out in the world, which is kindof different than what it has been in the past. I really feel like, if I’m being myself and being authentic and honest then the right people will show up for me, and the people who were only here for the things that aren’t as exciting to me will fall away and that’s okay. Like, I have no hard feelings if you’re only here to see nude stuff every week, I understand if you no longer want to do that, because that’s what you’re here for and if I’m not going to be doing that then it makes sense. That being said, I probably will never completely stop doing nude things because nudity is a major part of my life. Yeah I just.. I told you before, I’ve taken, I’ve done… like 3 or 4 shoots in the entirety of 2020. I just haven’t… I haven’t been feeling creative, I haven’t felt motivation or inspiration to create something of my own in a while. I’m kindof much more interested now in celebrating queerness and non monogamy, asexuality, ecosexuality, transness… meditation, healing, energy, all of those kinds of things are what I’d like to share about, which is kindof different but also kindof the same as what I’ve been doing for a long time. The road that I’ve been traveling has mostly been the same, I’m just taking a different way than I used to, if that makes sense.
So yeah I’ll give you a head’s up once I fully decide, hopefully I’ll fully decide soon. I do have a plan for weekly posts through February 13th that’s already planned and ready to go. So maybe that’ll be my last post like this? Then maybe after that I’ll mass upload all of the backlog that I have? So I don’t know, that’s kindof what I’m feeling like, so get ready. If you’re here for the nudes, they’ll still be available. I’m kindof feeling like maybe in the future if I’m changing things after I take a break, when I come back I’ll probably still have my archive and gallery still available, but it won’t be a primary thing that I’m adding to consistently. I want to focus more on community like I mentioned last week, and having online experiences where we can be together “in person” virtually. So I think that would be my focus, is more community and more… free resource kindof things, let’s explore stuff and learn things together kindof…. things. Still figuring it out, but yeah this is your head’s up. Most likely will continue the regular posting posting through mid-February and then after that things will probably change and be different.
I’ll post an official announcement whenever I officially decide what I’m doing, which I’m still figuring that out, but you have at least an idea now of what direction I’m going so that you can decide what works best for you. I would super incredibly much appreciate your continued support, because you’re the reason that I can pay rent, and also it’s really wonderful to know that there are people here who support me even though I’m shifting and changing. And ALSO if it’s best for you to no longer support me, I totally understand and there are no hard feelings. I would just very appreciate if you stay, because I know that even if I do take a break, which I’m very leaning towards, yes I’m going to take a break for 1-3 months, but if I do take a break I’m excited to see what that opens up for me, and see what I’m drawn to creating during that, if anything, and lean further into community and learning, education, resource stuff. So yeah that’s where I’m at! Okay I think that’s all I have to say today. Yeah I’ll give you more precise information when I have it when I’ve figured that out for myself. I think I’m just scared of change because it is scary and I don’t know what will happen. I love you, thank you for being here, you mean so much to me! Yeah I love you, I hope you have a good day, and I’ll talk to you soon, bye! <3

When I was in Philly last month I was able to catch up with my friend DWL Photo who I hadn’t seen since May 2016 when we met at #dancingbearsvacay! If you’ve been around for a while you might remember that intense & awesome artist’s retreat. Look back through the archives to May 2016 to see what happened. =] DWL and I shot several sets JUST FOR YOU, and I’m excited to share the first of them with you! We went to another part of Fairmount Park (the place is huge) that I hadn’t been to yet and explored and made a bunch of awesome images. At first I thought we wouldn’t be able to find a place secluded enough but we found several cool spots and didn’t have any issues with people spotting us.

I’ve put a bunch of random videos in the galleries for you this week! 2 videos of me singing in the car with AD, and 4 outdoor exploration videos!

I’m currently in Tampa! I drove 10 hours on Wednesday and I’m so relieved that I’m done with the marathon driving. I started shooting some self portraits and videos for you first thing on Thursday morning and plan to create even more for you during any free time I have here. Technically it’s Thursday morning right now as I’m typing this but since I’ll be driving home ALL DAY on Saturday, I’m prepping this week’s post early! I really like consistently posting every Saturday morning so I plan in advance if I need to and queue it for you if I’ll be busy when it’s supposed to post. =]
I love y’all so much, thank you for being here with me. Thank you for your support and encouragement. I appreciate each and every one of you! <3

Ahh! Hello, I was walking through the tree and it was lower than I thought it was. I’m happy to be here with you again this week! I just walked through a spiderweb. So of course I want to come outside where it feels good and I can put my feet on the ground. So this week I’m sharing a photoset and behind the scenes video from a photoshoot that I did in southern… central Illinois with Tiffany Nacke. I have shot with her a couple of times before but I was actually going through the town where she lives, her home base, home town, or gonna be really close to it on my cross country road trip last summer. She was basically the first stop that I made. I basically drove from my house to Tiffany Nacke’s house in Illinois in the first day of my trip. I might have slept overnight in my car on the way there, but I think I had my first night at her place. I could look back at my calendar to make sure but… this was the very beginning of my trip. She and I took photos of each other and I did an interview with her which I will hopefully be sharing on my youtube soonish. I have so much content that I don’t know what to do with, I don’t know when to share it, I just get overwhelmed and I’m like “oh, I’m just going to hoard it all to myself” I dont know why I do that. I’m excited to share that photoset with you I think they’re great they’re in her bedroom and she has several cats and a couple of them joined us for the shoot so that was cute and fun. I’m sure you’ll like them, any cat lovers here will be excited about this photoset.
Not much is new for me right now, I’m thinking of all the cool things that I want to do with all the videos that I have, but that just involves me being on a computer doing a lot of video editing, and I haven’t taken a whole lot of time to do that yet. It is on my list of things that I want to work on because I want to get better at video editing and have more short highlight reel type videos for yall and promotional videos I can share on social media. I have so many videos! I have over 2000 videos! Probably more than that, those are just in the paid members section, I have way more that are free! Even just counting the videos that I made every day on my cross country road trip last summer, that are all free. Also if you’re new here and you didn’t know that was available, I’ll put a link in the caption so that you can see all the free stuff of all of my travel photos of all the beautiful landscapes that I saw and all of the videos that I made every day I was on my road trip, those are all available for free. (click here for the massive blog post about it and click here for the free galleries!!!) And if you’re a member and you’re watching this anyway, the photos and videos I made there that are NOT free, you’re a member here, you’ll have access to those really soon because they’re coming out in the next few weeks because I have SO MUCH! So look forward to all of that, I’m excited to share with you.
I’ve had an idea for a fundraiser but it didn’t feel quite right so I haven’t announced it yet, and now I have an even better idea for a fundraiser, like what I want to do with the funds because that’s what was not feeling quite right. I have an even better idea and I’m excited to start fleshing that out more for myself because I think it’s going to be awesome. So keep an eye out for a fundraiser, I’m going to be posting about that hopefully soon. I’m excited and I have some ideas that I would like to flesh out so I don’t want to say too much about it yet because it’s not 100% ready, but it’s on the way.
ALSO another thing that’s on the way! I’m in the process of making a mini ebook of some of my favorite double exposures I’ve taken that involve people and nature (which is most of the double exposures that I take), this is… I think I have maybe 16 pages or so in this book so far, and I think that might be all that I do, but there’s one or two images per page so that’s a lot more than just 16 photos. I’m excited to share those. That ebook will be available for purchase and I’ll be giving the money to some kind of fund, I’m not sure yet, or at least a percentage of it, but if you don’t want to purchase it I’ll have an option for if you’re a member that you can get it for free! I’m going to make a post about it soon because it’s not quite ready but just to give you a quick heads up, if you write a review for your membership through my shop, so if you go to the sale page for the membership while you’re logged in and scroll down, it has a place for you to leave a review. If you leave a review of your membership I’ll send you this mini ebook of my double exposures for free as a thank you for writing the review. So anybody who’s written a review before the ebook comes out, you’re still going to be getting the ebook in your email so even if you do it today and the ebook isn’t ready yet, you’ll get it when it’s ready. Or you can wait til I make a post about it, either way. I think reviews help people to understand the value that I bring with the memberships and it helps bring more people into this community, and it helps me know what you like that I’m doing so I can do more of that! Reviews are awesome, I super appreciate it if you do leave reviews. I’ve had Don write a couple of reviews for me and those have been great, and Doug has also done some reviews in the past too, just not in this way, but he did a write up of a review before back when I was doing patreon. So anybody that wants that double exposure e-book for free I’ll email it to you once it’s done if you’ve written a review, or I’ll have an option for you to purchase it in my store.
I think that’s all I have to say today, because not much has changed since last week. I did have a photoshoot yesterday (Wednesday) but the photos won’t be coming out on my website, they’re just for the model for their OnlyFans. That was really fun, it was actually my first shoot this year of someone else so that was really great, and I’m hoping that we can get together again so that I can take some double exposures of them because I have some film from my trip still for double exposures. I’m very excited, I hope we do it! But yeah the photos we took yesterday are exclusive to their OnlyFans. I shot with Lauren / Portraitmami, their Onlyfans link is HERE.
That’s all I have to say. Thank you so much! I love you and I’ll talk to you again next week!

Hi friends! So… I always come over here because it’s shady and I have very pale skin and need to stay in the shade. AW! I just got excited because I just found a little tiny poplar leaf. Love notes from the universe, I love it!
Ok so this week I am sharing several photosets that are from last fall when Lior Allay and I went to Michigan and did our Conscious Creativity event. I’m really excited to share these with you. I have photos taken from Lior, photos that were taken by… oh gosh I have a bunch of photos… I’m sharing the photos that Doug Pierce took (Hi Doug!) and photos that were taken by a person that their screen name is Brat_trainer, he took double exposures with a roll of film that I took in Valley of Fire… what other photos am I sharing? I think that’s all of the photos I’m sharing from the event. (EDIT I’m also sharing photos from Robert Beech who shot wet plates!) It was an amazing event, it was so fun! It was one of the last events that I did before covid hit and made it so that it’s harder for people to get together in person. Somebody is mowing their lawn… or something. Do you like my new glasses? Yeah this event was super awesome, I had a really amazing fun time there, it was super great, it was really connecting, it was really fun, it was hot. It was at a permaculture farm outside of Detroit called Crossing Hedgerows Sanctuary very much recommend anyone that’s out in that area to check them out, it’s an amazing location and I’m so thankful for them giving us the ability to hang out and have our event there, that was wonderful. I’m just thinking back fondly, it was really fun. It was a creative educational community supportive fun gathering, it was just great.
What else do I want to talk about this week? Oh! I just created a pay what you can membership, the membership is either $15, $10, $5, $3 or $1 based on what the person’s ability is to pay. The $1 ones are specifically for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color only. The reason I’m able to have a pay what you can membership is because of those of you who have the higher level memberships. Your membership is allowing me to have those discounted memberships for other people, so thank you so much for that. I appreciate you so much! Yeah I’m just excited about it, I want my work to be accessible to everyone and I think this is a great way to make it accessible. I mean, I already have a ton of free stuff, but in terms of my memberships for the paid things, I want to make them accessible and this is the way I’m making it accessible, and it is thanks to yalls help because you’re already here supporting me and that allows me to support the rest of the community with cheaper options for memberships so I thank you so much! The pay what you can membership is basically the video membership at a discounted rate. I went through and did more planning and organizing and I figured out that I have enough content to go through Halloween at least! I have so much content, it’s ridiculous yall. Honestly it can probably go longer than that, that’s just what I planned out for, and that’s still including me not really creating anything.
Last Sunday I took a self portrait set for the first time since last summer, so that was interesting. I did a double exposure self portrait set with photos I took in Utah over the summer last year. I am a little bit disappointed because most of them didn’t come out. More than half of the roll is just landscapes because I should have overexposed the images of me and I didn’t, I wasn’t paying as much attention to the exposure because it was me taking self portraits and I was just trying to do it quickly and easily and I should have been more particular with how I was doing it but, it was a fun experience and that’s all that matters. I did get a handful that are really good that did come out as doubles, but a lot of the roll is just all you can see is landscapes and very very very very faint maybe see a body in some of them so… a little disappointed in myself that a chunk of the roll didn’t really come out as doubles but I love the landscapes anyway because it’s one of my favorite places.
AHHHHH I just noticed a snail! Oh my gosh so cute! I don’t know if I can show you… let’s see… I’m gonna just like, cheat it. Nope I can’t do it, I can’t show you, I mean I maybe can, lets see…. oooop this thing doesn’t want to. I’ll take a picture and show you later. I just looked down in the grass and there’s this real cute snail just like slinkin along in the grass it’s really adorable. Yeah it’s so cute, so yeah, me, excited. Ok sooooo what else do I want to tell you? I don’t think I really have anything right now. I’m focusing my efforts on gathering information and figuring out what I want to do to do my part to make Black people’s lives better. As a white person that’s my job. If you’re also a white person and you don’t know where to start, you can go to my instagram and I have a whole bunch of stuff saved in my “protests” highlight, I have 2 of them now. So check those out if you need a place to start. I’ll probably be sending out an email newsletter with a lot of resources also in the coming weeks. I’m still gathering resources and still thinking about what I want to do. I have some ideas of what I personally want to do to help my local community, I’m still figuring that out. Yeah I think that’s all I have to say today. I’m excited to share these Conscious Creativity photos with you. I love you so much! Thank you for being here. I look forward to all of the changes that happen in the future because I know more are coming and I know it’s going to be for the better of everyone and… yeah. Thank you. I love you! Have a good day.
