If you’ve been here for a little while or you have archive access, you’ve probably already seen some of the sets that Edgar and I created last time I was in Chicago. We created so much that day and I’m excited to share this bathtub set with you! We started out with a plain bath and then added one of my favorite bath bombs from Blood Lily Bath that turns the water dramatically black. The bathtub was huge and super slippery of course so it was actually pretty difficult for me to pose in but we were able to create a lot of really great images despite the bathtub challenge.
In other news, my birthday was on Thursday (Nov 30) and it was wonderful! Antisocialdisposition took some time off from school and working on the NASA USLI project to spend extra time with me which made me feel extra special. Wednesday night we drove almost 2 hours to Greensboro to watch Devin Townsend in concert. He is one of AD & my favorite musicians and we have made it a point to see him every time he visits anywhere near us. The 2 times we saw him before this one we drove all the way to Atlanta (4 hrs away)! The show was amazing as always, and I bought my favorite album of his (Addicted) at the merch booth before we left. It has been playing nonstop in my car since the concert. We got home late, went to bed, slept in and had a lazy morning, then he went to campus to work for a few hours and I had the afternoon to myself. I treated myself to an awesome bath, complete with a crystal grid of course, and read from my new book that AD got me for my birthday, The Hidden Life of Trees. I’m only a couple of chapters in and I really love it so far! I worked on a special new project for a couple of hours, then AD came home and we went to our favorite sushi place! I’m one lucky human.

This set taken by Colorvibes of Satya & me was taken in my parents’ back yard. I shoot there so much but it’s honestly one of my favorite places to be, it’s private, and it’s just beautiful! My sister wanted to have a photoshoot involving bodypaint and a few local photographers and models but things didn’t work out with the bodypaint but we already had a date set and people coming so we winged it! Someone had the idea to use bubbles as another element to the photos and I really love how dreamy and whimsical they make the photos feel! I’ll probably want to do more shoots involving bubbles in the future. We didn’t have a bubble machine so they were all blown by my sister and my mom! Colorvibes took this set of us between Michael O’Neill‘s sets which I’ll be sharing with you in the future! The whole morning was really fun, just a bunch of us taking pictures, playing with bubbles, and having a great time.
I don’t have much of a story behind this self portrait set. I took it during some down time after another shoot because I liked the light coming in from the window and wanted to make some shapes with the plant. =]

I’ve just uploaded 4 bts videos from the shoot with Satya & Colorvibes & Michael O’Neill, along with an 8+ minute nude vlog and 34 nude boomerangs!
Even though I shot this vlog and boomerangs months after the shoot with Satya/Colorvibes/Michael I thought now would be a great time to share it with you because I took it in my parents’ back yard (surprise!) and cuddled with the Magnolia tree (which you can see in some of the photos from today’s set). Yes, I just said I cuddled with a tree. Did you know I really love trees? Haha you’ll see what I mean when you watch the video and boomerangs. =]

This set was taken in our first airbnb when AD and I were in Chicago. I say our first because we stayed at this one for the first night we were there and then the rest of the time we stayed at a different one. We wanted to stay in this one for our first night because it was AD’s birthday! This airbnb was so adorable and small but had plenty of space and great natural light to shoot with. They had a huge mirror off to the side of the bed which was of course great for photos, so Edgar suggested for me take a few self portraits with his Leica while he photographed me taking them. I had never used a Leica before but got the hang of it pretty quickly. You can see the photos I took and the photos he took in this set! We also utilized the window above the head of the bed that had a very wide windowsill for a few shots. I got in the windowsill and posed a bit and then he even got a photo of me jumping down! Edgar likes to use vintage cameras as props for shoots so it was of course fun for me to play with all the cameras. =D

What are you doing this weekend? I’m going to a gem and mineral show in Winston Salem NC today! I’m very excited to see all the beautiful crystals and probably spend more money than I should on getting some for myself and for a little project I’ve been working on. I can’t wait!
